So I am sitting here in the middle of August in a sweat shirt and I’m really really cold! What is up with this weather? Anyway it’s suppose to rain all week here in the lower part of Michigan which is good because we need rain, bad because it’s going to be cool the next few days.

I like thunderstorms more then just regular rain, but I guess I will just have to wait and see if they show up later this week. I live in the middle of nowhere and it’s so much fun to watch the lightning light up the sky.

After reading a blog post on Nanashi’s blog about the drinking age,  I just had to write my own, so what age do I think you should be able to drink at. Well I think 16 is a great age. Why because you are still not an adult yet and your parents still can have an influence on what you can and can not do. I do not think you should be able to drink hard liquor until you are 18 though, as I believe that if you can fight for your country you should be able to buy alcohol.

Why do I think this could work, because it does in other countries, in most of Europe teens can drink at 16 or 17. There binge drinking rate is non-existent. They also have less alcoholics. Think about this, when your a teen, you want to do everything that you can’t do right? So you drink you smoke and you think your getting away with something, make it legal and guess what after a year or so, most of our societies problems will start to decrease, like violent crimes done by teens, Robberies, teen pregnancy, and more.

Why should people wait until there 21 to drink? Once your 21 you are out on your own and are suppose to be responsible, well I’m 24 and I was not responsible enough at 21, but I still lived at home and my mother had a rule, you can’t come home drunk. She only bent that rule once and that was my 21st birthday. After that if I wanted a place to sleep and was drunk I got to sleep in the car outside, in February in Michigan.

Now I don’t find drinking that big of a deal, and thats the point, when you hit 24 do you really think going out and drinking is cool. NO! you don’t care, well if the drinking age was 16, by the time your 18, it’s not a big deal anymore and you won’t be out getting drunk all the time. The only reason teens make a big deal out of it is because it’s illegal.

I love Karaoke and I really want to get back into it again, I’ve moved and have no good bar to go to. So I bought a new sound card and am hoping to hook it up so that I can do it at home, yes the card supports it. I’m very excited about it. I do wish I could do it in a bar again, but no luck. I’m at least an hour and a half away from it and none of my friends in my area go out anymore. Oh well I’ll sing to my computer, maybe I’ll make a video and post it on here eventually.
