stress and diabetes

I have been extremely stressed out this week. First it was because of a teacher then it was because I didn’t have time to get homework done because everyone seems to think I have nothing to do all day and can run around for them. Then this whole problem with Michigan’s budget hits and I find out I may not get a refund from the school I was expecting and they may have to cancel classes, which will mean I will have to be stuck without my degree for an extra 9 months. I’m not happy.

So during all of this I have noticed my bc has been dropping like crazy. I’ll eat and it will be fine. I’ll get stressed and it will head right back down. I hate it and it’s annoying but I know this is a problem and I use to be able to handle it, but for some reason I just can not relax. I keep thinking about all of these problems and wondering what I am going to do. Yes I know it’s normal, but it still sucks.

I have been doing a good job of not stress eating. I went over twice this week, but only by 10 carbs or so and it was not junk food! I’m proud of myself.

My family has a history with diabetes. Although I haven’t been diagnosed as having it but stress caused my skin to flare up badly at the moment. I have to be careful of the sweet tooth as well. Sigh…You take care.
