I have been trying for years to lose weight. I have been heavy all of my life and it seems like everything I tried did not work well enough. I tried the, shakes, the bars and even a diet patch but I couldn’t seem to keep the weight off.

Now that I’m diabetic I have been introduced to the best thing in the world. Eating right, that is what was missing. All of the things I tried didn’t work because I wasn’t eating the way I should. Now I wasn’t eating horribly or anything. I ate my veggies and watched what I ate. The problem was I didn’t know what a serving of something really looked like. I didn’t know what was really bad for me that I thought was good. Now I know better and I think that many people could benefit from this. We need to put this back into schools. At least teach these kids how to really read a nutrition label and show them what a serving really is. It could save there life.

I have been an unemployed college student for around 2 years altogether. I racked up alot of debt in that time as any job I had usually did not even pay rent. now that I am getting some extra cash and live back at home I have been looking at some options I have open to me.

One of my first thoughts was maybe bankruptcy, but it wouldn’t help me I really don’t owe that much. So I thought about financial consolidation software and that could be a good choice for me as it would show me visually what I can do. My other thought was just call and get payoff amounts. Thats alot of work and I tired once already only two places gave me a discounted amount the rest wanted everything. I refuse to pay all fees and interest on a payoff. Eventually they will back down.

I am hoping that by this time next year I can be caught up on my back payments. I won’t be out of debt as I still have student loans, but I will be doing better.

Interior designers design much more then just homes, they may design a restaurant or help set up an exhibit at a local museum. They also may decorate Condo Hotels or huge casinos. One women that I went to school with designers private jets while another is just starting on cruse ships. Lets not forget they hire designers for movie and TV sets. Some even work for magazine’s to set up photo shoots and rooms.

There are many different things that designers can do. It’s not all just about paint and curtains there is alot of work that goes into interior design. There are also so many things that you can do with that design degree. So if your thinking about it. Check out a college or two and see if Interior design is right for you.

About a week ago I wrote about the town of Jena, now there has been a huge rally in support of the boys who were wrongly treated. There is a huge outcry about this and many people are in support of this rally and what it represents. Taken from the CNN article:

“This is a march for justice. This is not a march against whites or against Jena,”

- the Rev. Al Sharpton

Why in the 21st century are we still dealing with racism? This is a question asked in my ethics class this past summer. The response is simple, everyone has there own opinion, some are just misinformed others have this opinion because of experience. What many in this rally want to stress is that it is not about race to them, this is about justice and how these boys are being treated. The only reason race is involved at all is because of how this all started, the nooses hung from the tree.

The reason I am so intrigued by this is that finally nationwide you see people coming together for a cause and using there rights as us citizens. There are always rallies in Washington DC but you never hear about them, this rally has made news headlines and is a great example of the power of the American people.

So my last post was about getting my little sis a toolbox for her truck. I was thinking about this earlier this morning and I started wondering what else I may be able to get her. I have until the end of the week to decide. I’m thinking that I may just get her a tonneau cover instead. These are the covers that go over the bed of the truck. The lock and she can store more stuff in there then in the toolbox. She could move the rest of her stuff down to her apartment easier too. Maybe I’ll have to go that route instead. I still have a few days to think about it, right?

My little sister just turned 18 this past week and a few months ago she bought a truck. I have been trying to figure out what to get her for her birthday and I was thinking of replacing her truck toolbox. The one she has not doesn’t lock and she moved to the city a few months ago so she really can’t use it. I know before she kept some things for her car in there like jumper cables and flares, but now she can’t do that.

Yes I did think about buying her a lock, but they cost $5 and I wanted to spend a little more then that on her, it is a big birthday after all. I know she would like it as she loves her truck. Something to think about I guess.
