Today is Halloween in the USA. I’m not sure what other country’s celebrate it, but I know it’s a big thing here. I live in a small town where most people celebrate this holiday, but I am finding more and more people who don’t. I’m not sure exactly why some don’t as they can’t even tell me why. Others do it for religious reasons, I understand and respect that.
My problem this year is that yesterday I mentioned something about Halloween and this women who was not in the conversation came up to me told me I believed in satin and I was going to hell. Just because I like Halloween. Has anyone else had this happen. I have never experienced this before and it surprised me.
Enough about that, if you do celebrate Halloween what have or are you going to do today. I have class so I really can’t do much. It’s sad, but I just can’t. I hope to get back to take pictures of my niece and nephew though.

Yes I’ve had it happen and have seen it happen too. It’s a shame that people who are Christians (I’m assuming that’s why she said that) do rude and hateful things like that.
If people who call themselves Christians would actually read the Bible they would see that Jesus said the second greatest commandment of all is to love our neighbors as ourselves. Telling someone they believe in Satin without knowing anything about the person (you) is breaking that commandment.
I’m sorry that happened to you. The majority of people who really follow God’s word wouldn’t act that way. I say Happy Halloween!

We don’t celebrate Halloween in Australia like you do
For a few years, a group of local kids did try tricking or treating (my kids included) but they had doors slammed in their faces, people yelling “This is Australia, not America!”, etc. This year, while the kids wanted to go, I didn’t let them. I think maybe next year I might just plan a Halloween party at home and the kids can invite some of their friends.
