Lately I have been looking at so many different things for a project I am doing for school. It has made me look at things so differently. I am learning about the world and what people are actually going though in different countries. I like it as I have come to realize that I do have more then I thought. I am able to have a choice at what I do and who I am around. I also am able to go to school and learn about anything i choose. I can buy things like candy and home theater chairs or a big screen tv and a ipod.

If you go to other countries you can not always get these things. I think that many Americans take for granted what we have and don’t look at how much of a blessing it really is. The choices we are allowed to make are amazing and we have a freedom that is rarely seen though out the world. I think in the last few years we have forgotten about that. We have forgotten what it’s like to speak up for yourself and tell people how you want to be treated. We also have forgotten that not everyone lives as we do, but maybe war is not the answer, but education and general knowledge would be a better path to take.

Recently a friend of mine had a huge problem at work. Her manager accused her of stealing. She was almost fired before the store manager stepped in and asked why she was being fired. He had been on vacation and came back 2 days early.

The manager then told his boss that she had stolen money and box cutters. Now I know this girl because I use to work at this store with her, the box cutters are in a locked office and you have to ask to get in there, her boss claims that she stole $500 worth of box cutters, which is not possible.
Luckily for my friend she was able to keep her job as there was no proof that she stole anything but there was alot that she didn’t. They have cameras in the office and she didn’t work on a register so she couldn’t have stolen money.

Now here is the kick, A week later her manager was fired because HE stole the money and HE stole the $500 for the box cutters that were never ordered, thats his job. If the store manager hadn’t come back early my friend would have been fired and this manager would have gotten away with it. She’s now applying for his position and I think she has a good shot at it. Wouldn’t that be ironic?

I am a single gal, I have been all of my life but for some reason I am the go to for relationship advice. I find it interesting, maybe it’s a natural ability maybe it’s just I’m an outside opinion. Lately though my friends problems have outgrown my abilities, there married or engaged and almost all have kids. These are just problems I don’t always have experience with.

Well now there is a great blog I found that is all about LOVE there are some great post on this blog about different things that I have never had experience with, but my friends want to know. So now I’m going to start sending them there.

There are two reasons I am telling you about this site, one is that they are having a link contest and the winner gets $100 and I could use it. The other is probably the most important, I love helping people and I’m sure some of my readers could use some help in the romance department. So here is my good dead for the day. I am now going to go back to the depressing task of homework.

Every year we buy Christmas gifts for our pets. This goes back to when I was little and complained that our cat needed a Christmas gift too. So my mom bought her some toys.  Now I am older and still do this. I even buy them for my little sisters pets. So I have been looking around at websites to see what I could find. When I was told about this one site I got really excited. 

The site is called the gilded paw and they have items for both cats and dogs. Since I have a cat I also have to buy for this is a great site for me. They have very cute dog apparel and since they carry extra small it would work great for my little sisters chihuahua, Charlie, as she’s so tiny that most things won’t fit her. They also have bigger items for my other sisters chihuahua, Bruno as he’s a bigger boy and needs bigger items. My favorite item is a coat for Charlie as she’s always shaking during the winter because it’s so cold.

I also found a great cat bed that I am thinking of getting my cat. My sisters have beds for there dogs and my cat keeps sleeping in them when the dogs come to visit. So I decided it’s time to get her one of her own. the have a good selection and I’m just deciding if I want to get a big one for her, so if I get another cat they can lay together or just a small one for now.

After hearing the last 2 days about the semi truck accident in California I have been thinking. Why is there a tunnel in an earthquake zone. My step father is a truck driver and he’s been out that way and I’m sure this is the tunnel that he told me was horrible and he hated driving though it. Of course now that is what everyone is saying.

I just think if it has caused that many problems and is that bad of a structure maybe they should think about doing something else. Of course I have never been there so I’m not sure what they could do, or if they could do anything. It just seems like this type of an accident could have been avoided. It’s tragic that it happened and I think we need to do something to make sure it doesn’t happen again. What do you think?
