Have you ever been home alone in a thunderstorm and the lights go out? The only thing you may have to comfort you is a candle, and you get this feeling your being watched. There may be something out there and you don’t know it, maybe theres not. I have felt this way before. I was 13 and home by myself in a new house, it was an older home and it made alot of noises, I sat in my living room with my dog curled up under a blanket for 2 hours because I thought someone was in the basement. My step dad came home and I insisted he go check. There was something down there, I wasn’t imagining things, there was a bat. When he opened the basement door it flew up at us and then went flying around our kitchen. Our dog finally got it when it got too low. I have never been so scared in my life.
These are the feelings that excite us, that make us think and believe that something else is out there, that we can’t trust the people around us and maybe we can’t trust ourselves? This is why we have an obsession with scary movies, like The Mist by Stephen King a new movie that will give you the same feeling you have during that thunderstorm where your alone and not sure whats going on around you. Who doesn’t love that feeling when you know it will be okay…. but maybe you don’t.
