I will be posting a photo tomorrow. I have had some personal issues this week and have not been able to get out to take pictures. Today when I have time there is nothing to take a picture of. I could have gotten a great picture of our garbage truck that got stuck, but they got out too quick. It was actually kinda funny, sad but funny!

Tonight we are suppose to get a good size storm so I hope to have some great winter pictures to show you tomorrow!

Why I hate losing weight

So I’m thinking what if I can’t do that lap band thing and I have to keep losing weight? I like what I am doing now. I’m dancing, but it seems it’s not enough. I have that horrible belly fat that women hate and it’s very hard to get rid of. I have had it since I was really young and at that time I was always told I would get rid of it when I hit my teen years. Well, that has come and gone and it’s still there. I hate it as I look at my niece and she has the same thing I did, again everyone is saying it will go away when she hits her teen years, me I’m not so sure but there is nothing I can do for her right now.

I’ve been trying pretty hard the last few weeks to lose weight, I also was on a good program from may till December, then Christmas came and there was too much going on so I slipped. Now I am finding that I can’t lose weight like I was. I’m stuck and cant move from where I’m at.

I had heard that you can lose weight really well by taking Phenermine a pill that when taken for 3 months has been proven to help you lose weight. It’s only recommended for severely over weight people. I looked into that too and I can’t take it because I have high blood pressure. I know my doctor wouldn’t prescribe it to me anyway for that reason, you can only get it with a prescription. Oh well another weight loss help that I can’t do. I guess I just have to give in and do it the hard way huh? :)

Could this really help me?

I am diabetic and I need to lose weight. I saw on the news the other day that lap band surgery might be the answer. So I decided to check out what lap band surgery was all about. I searched online and came up with so many things, lap band Houston and solve all your problems with lap band surgery. The problem was I couldn’t find out any information on what I wanted to know. I did eventually find some so I may be okay.

I know that they put a band around your stomach so that you cant eat much. I have heard both good and bad things about it. But most of the time I have heard it works well. I’m going to talk to my doctor about it but he said a few months ago he didn’t think it would help me much. I have good will power apparently.

Going Green Monday: Fuel Cells

Is this the way of the future: A cell that is powered with hydrogen and oxygen that will produce electricity like a battery, but never die. I hope so. This technology is called a fuel cell and it runs clean and quiet.

These fuel cells can be used to power anything from your laptop to your mp3 player. You probably have heard about them being used in cars to replace our engines. There are a few cars that already run on fuel cells, Honda has one, and so does Chevrolet. Fuel cells can also be used to help provide power in remote places, since they can be left alone without worry.

The following is taken from the website Fuel Cells 2000, You can get more information about fuel cells there.

A fuel cell is an electrochemical device that combines hydrogen and oxygen to produce electricity, with water and heat as its by-product.  As long as fuel is supplied, the fuel cell will continue to generate power.  Since the conversion of the fuel to energy takes place via an electrochemical process, not combustion, the process is clean, quiet and highly efficient – two to three times more efficient than fuel burning.

The truth about small towns

I have heard so many people who have told me to move to a small town to get away from all the drug and gang issues the cities seem to have. When they tell me this I usually start laughing uncontrollably and can’t stop.

Why do people think small towns are better places to live? Yes the crime rate is usually not as bad as a city so I will give you that one, but where have you gotten the information that small towns are better because there is no drug use or gang involvement? Oh I know the media. Well guess what, small towns are just as bad as the cities are. The difference, small town teens and adults know how to hide what they do. When you live in a city no one pays attention to you, when you live in a small town everyone knows what your doing, they know who your with, where you went and most of the time exactly what you said. Scary huh?

This is one reason I know a little about rehab programs I have had at least 3 friends who have gone though Cocaine Rehab and a few more that probably should. I never got into drugs so I personally don’t have to worry about it, but I have seen the effects of people who do drugs and it’s not pretty. Cocaine Rehabs is a blog that I think could be very helpful to my friends and anyone who has ever had an addiction. One post talks about not being afraid of addiction treatment. I think this is the main reason people don’t get help. They are afraid to change. Another post talks about HIV and how drug use can spread that.

I will be giving this site out to a few friends who I think need to check it out. If I have to I’ll take them to the library myself. They waste too much money and time with there addictions and I really think they would be happier if they stopped doing what there doing.
