Many people say I just can’t lose weight, I hear it from my mother all the time. She’s watching me lose and saying that she can’t Fitness girldo it because she doesn’t have time. Okay I get that but there are still things that beginners can do to lose weight.

5. Watch your carb intake, now if your diabetic, you should have seen a nutritionist and gotten a meal plan. If you haven’t stick to 60 grams of carbs per meal. If your a women you can bring it down to 45.

4. Snack, you should not go more then 4 hours without a snack. Snacks keep you energized and keep you from going crazy later.

3. Do workouts in short burst. If your stretched for time, remember 5 or 10 minutes is better then nothing. I have found that if I don’t have time to do much. I take 5 minutes and stretch and lift weights. At least this way your building muscle that will help you burn fat later.

2. Do something you love to do. Yoga or dancing. If you don’t like going to the gym get a workout video and do it in the comfort of your own home. If you like to dance, put on some music and dance. It doesn’t matter what you do as long as you move.

1. Remember weight loss is not just a number on the scale. Muscle weighs more the fat so you may find you actually gain weight at first or every so often, just keep going. Measure yourself when you start and keep track of those measurements, they will tell you if your really losing weight.

  1. Sometimes our family is our worst enemy when we are trying to lose weight with their comments. If I eat a salad, they say eww you are eating rabbit food. I have learned to ignore non-supportive comments now. Doing it for myself.

The 5 tips you suggested are a great idea to follow. Thanks!

  2. Thank you, these are 5 things that have helped me. So I hope they can help others.

I agree family can be hard to bare when your trying to lose weight. I know mine is. The best part with me is they know I have to do it. This is not a choice.
