		<description>I've noticed this trend, too! I worked at a small grocery store in high school, and we always smiled, and said "please" when asking for money and "thank you," when they paid. Now, I can't remember the last time a clerk in a store said "please" when they asked for their money. I'm lucky if I get a "hello," or a "thank you." Usually, the only words that come out of a clerk's mouth is "45.65." Sad, sad, sad.
