I went to walmart today and I noticed something. The new workers there are very rude to customers. The reason I say the new workers is because I use to work there. About 4 years ago. The people who are there that I know are still hard working and polite to customers.

Most of the new people are young. I’m hoping it’s just inexperience and it will fix itself but I have noticed that many young people are just rude now. Yes I know I fall into the young category and that I can be rude on my blog, but in person I am very polite and get along with almost everyone. I’ve noticed though that the ages seem to be about 16- 21 or so that it’s really noticeable. Maybe it’s just because I’m older now

I’m hoping again that this is something these people will grow out of. Not all younger people are rude, just the ones I run into I think! Has anyone else seen this or is it just me all alone in my little world.

  1. I’ve noticed this trend, too! I worked at a small grocery store in high school, and we always smiled, and said “please” when asking for money and “thank you,” when they paid. Now, I can’t remember the last time a clerk in a store said “please” when they asked for their money. I’m lucky if I get a “hello,” or a “thank you.” Usually, the only words that come out of a clerk’s mouth is “45.65.” Sad, sad, sad.
