It seems like everyone keeps saying that you have to get a collage degree to get a good job. Well I’m starting to think that is a line of bull. Why, well both my sisters work in fast food, they are assistant managers and make more then my mother, a teacher does. They have both taken a year of college, but didn’t get any degree and don’t plan on going back. They can both still rise with their companies, my older sister not as high as she works for a franchise and can only go as far as a store manager, unless she decides to buy her own franchise.

My other sister works for a corporate store and can move way up. According to a district manager she could work up to her position and make more then 65-70,000 a year, with no college education. Now fast food and retail are known for this if you can move up. It’s not for everyone, but if you don’t want to go to college, flipping burgers and McDonald’s or burger king may get you a better job in the same amount of time it would take to go to school. The one sister that could be a district manager is 19 and has worked at that store for 1 1/2 years. She’s already making what I will when I graduate after 4 years. Something to think about.
