Have you ever just wanted to run and hide

Posted by Holly on Apr 14, 2008 under personal

One of my friends told me I should be proud of what I have done in my life. I’m a year away from graduating with my bachelors degree and I have managed to make some money online. Normally I would agree with her, but looking back I haven’t done anything I wanted to do.

Last week my little sisters and their boyfriends got approved for a loan to buy a house. The homes are not new, but they want one that needs work. These are the same sisters that now make more a year then I have ever made, one is 18 the other 19. The 19 year old makes over 20,000 a year, no college degree.

So my little sisters are doing much better in life then I am. I am living at home now, 60,000 in debt and no way out. I can’t find work as I have no experience and a collage degree. I just feel like I have failed. I have nothing to look forward to. Even graduating can’t give me any hope as I’m sure I still won’t be able to find a job. The worst part is my whole family thinks the same thing. Sometimes I think it would be better if I just took off and never came back, then the they wouldn’t have to explain why I can’t ever do anything right and I’m such a horrible person for it.

  1. Hygeia Said,

I think you should not be too harsh on yourself and it’s better to stop from comparing yourself to others. Anyway, it’s my first time here. Loving the green layout. :X

  2. Holly Said,

    Welcome!

The advice is well needed and I’m going to try to stop doing it. It’s hard when others do it for you.

  3. Drew Said,

I agree with Hygeia, getting down on yourself won’t help. You will succeed in your own way and that is what is most important. I’m pretty partial to bloggers who put themselves out there and work hard. Keep up the hard work and don’t let negativity cripple your spirit.
