Your personal space
For my speech class I am doing a very interesting discussion panel on sexual harassment. My part of the panel is covering personal space. So I decided to pull my readers and see what you consider your personal space. The poll will rotate on my sidebar with other polls so if you want to check it out you may have to refresh the page, or just leave a comment on this post and let me know what you think.
The poll is set up as follows
What is your personal space:
1-3 feet (30-91cm)
3-5 feet (91-152cm)
5 or more feet. (152 or more cm)
Keep in mind this is for people you don’t know, but I would also love to know how you feel when asked this question about people you know. If you do comment please add your country or at least your part of the world as I’m also interested in how different cultures view this.

Interesting. I think mine is 3-5 ft for both. I guess I am not one to scream “sexual harassment” at every turn so I don’t freak when people get too close - unless they have BO.

I would have to say I’m the same way. I don’t mind people being close to me as long as I didn’t just meet them 2 minutes ago. I think it’s because I grew up with so many cultural influences.
