As many of you know I have some debt. It’s not horrible just around $50,000 with student loans. Since I’m not done with school yet I’m not going to worry about them, but I need to do something about the rest of it. That is about $6,000. I know it’s not much but when you only make enough to pay basic monthly bills then it is a lot.

If your looking for some help like I am then you really should check out this fun and helpful website I found. It’s called debt consolidation care and it’s like no other site I have seen. They actually have real help for you, not just a bunch of advertising for loans or bankruptcy. There is a get out of debt forum where you can get advice from real people who have either been there or have training. The section I like is the one about debt collectors as this is my major problem. Most of my debt went to collection a long time ago. They kept calling until I finally wrote them to stop. I live at the number, but my poor mom was getting tired of the calls. Anyway this section is very helpful to anyone dealing with debt collectors. I did a lot of research about a year ago and I still learned a few new things reading though this.

The best part about this site though is the do it yourself section. This area tells you step by step how to go about consolidating your debt without the help of a company! According to them you could save over $200 doing this yourself. They have sample letters for many different situations such as bad checks, conformation of debt and so on. This area is very helpful and has inspired me to really keep trying to do something on my own about my debt. Overall this is a very helpful and well laid out site. You really should check it out if you have any questions about debt and getting out of it.
