Everything and Anything

My thoughts on everything around me

Why Don’t People Think

There are some personal issues going on with my family right now. I can’t get into the details but I could end up in some trouble. I didn’t do anything so please don’t worry about that, but someone else did and it could effect not only me, but the rest of my family as well.

Sometimes I wonder if people think anymore. Does anyone realize that there are consequences for their actions? What I’m finding is that middle age men and 30-40 something women don’t seem to care about consequences. Now I’m not saying everyone is this way, but a good amount are. Many attribute that to a midlife crises, but I know most 20 something year olds who have been asked out, flirted with or contacted online by a 50+ year old will agree with me that it is sick and wrong. Many of the men who have contacted me are married. Do they even think about how that looks to people, or the person they are married to. Personally if my husband (if I had one) were unhappy enough to contact any women I would want to know so that we can either work it out or get on with our life’s. This isn’t just about men, I know some women who could care if a man is married, it’s what I want I will go after.

This doesn’t even have to involved dating or cheating. People can just be rude sometimes. Example the other day. A man bumped into me causing me to drop everything I had, then yelled at me for being in the way and flipped me off. The worst part, they were an employee, unfortunately they were on their way out the door, so there was not much the store would do about it. Lets just say I’m not going there again.

Has anyone else noticed this or think it’s a problem. I just keep thinking about how bad our socitiy has gotten with simple manors and morals.

  1. I think a lot of it depends on where you live. In Virginia, people are much more polite about things and helping each other.

However, I live in a college town and see people under the age of 30 not thinking about consequences. No matter what the age, society and families have let people get away with everything for so long that they will not take consequences into consideration. If a child acts out at school – it is the teacher’s fault. If I spill coffee on myself, it is the store’s fault and I am going to sue!

Keep in mind, there are good people out there.

    Hugs.

I still don’t understand how it’s the stores fault for hot coffee! I do think that as a society we need to start changing a few things that we now accept and make people understand that there are consequences for their actions.
