Illegal Immigration, what do you think?

Once again I’m bringing my classwork to my blog. This week we have been talking about immigration and have touched on Illegal Immigration. I seem to be the only one in my class who thinks that Illegal Immigration helps the US and doesn’t hurt us. I feel they don’t take away jobs from US citizans because they are jobs we would not do anyway, no matter how much they paid.
Many people state that some jobs would be filled if they paid more, but prices will go up then and of course then us greedy americans (said with affection) would want more money. I’m wondering what everyone else thinks of this problem. If your from another country is it an issue there too?

Illegals are ILLEGAL. They are breaking the law. They also are taking medical care and jobs from LEGALS.
They can become LEGAL and get a job.

That I understand. They are taking jobs from people who are here legally. I guess my point is that most of the jobs they are taking only immigrants (legal or illegal) will take.

I’ve been in the US and I partly know the situation there. Yes, they take jobs but these are mostly blue collar jobs and only limited people will take them.
If you are against it, you need to ask your self some questions.
Are you willing to take their jobs instead? Are you willing to be paid $8/ hr (or less) and carry 30 to 40lbs for almost the whole day w/out any overtime or benefits?
Are you willing to take care old folks, clean them and bathe them? etc…
There will be people (LEGAL) willing to take that kind of job but not majority of them.
So who’s going to take it if there nobody willing to?

This is the part I feel most Americans don’t think about, Now I’m not saying it’s right they are here illegally, but they do not usually take jobs from us, they really help keep the economy going by providing cheep labor.

Most of what you learn in the first four years of elementary school will be valid all your life. Most of what you learn in four years of college won’t be. This is another reason some people contend grade school teachers should be paid more than university professors.L.M.BoydL. M. Boyd
