So many people are looking for work right now and it seems that the employment screening process is just getting worse and worse. Not only do companies do background checks but many are requiring that you have decent credit in order to work for them. I just don’t understand this and why it is legal for them to do it. Okay I do understand it for some jobs, like banks and so on, but it’s still a stretch, just because you have bad credit does not mean that you are going to steal from them. It may just be because you don’t have a job and couldn’t pay your bills.

I think that companies asking for good credit have just added to the credit crisis by making people get credit cards when they don’t want to just to build up their credit for a job. What do you think?
