Today I went out shopping and I have to say I was somewhat upset at a local store in my area. After spending a good hour and a half in the store picking out what I needed and getting to the counter I found out they stopped accepting credit cards. Right now because I don’t have a local bank I use debt cards for everything. I ended up leaving the store and heading over to Walmart to get what I could get there. I wasn’t very happy as part of my purchase was a gift and now I have to find something else to get.
I know I have said this before but it really is very important for small business to accept credit, it’s not hard to implement and most of the time it will help your business. There are many places that offer credit card processing places like Online Check. They offer a great program for accepting credit cards, like no fees, no contracts and they even give you a credit card machine for free. You also can be approved in 24 hours and can get a 30 day free trail, just to see if you like using their service. They also offer other products for a business like loans and cash advances. If you own a business and don’t accept credit, you really should check them out. It may be worth a lot more then you think, the store I was at, lost not only the $78 from yesterday, but I will not be likely to go back anymore either.
