Holiday Shopping
I have been thinking more and more about shopping for Christmas. I am trying to decide if I should go to Kmart and put some things on layaway or if I should wait and just buy what I can afford in December when I’m not trying to come up with gas and food money for school. I’m sure I’m not the only one worrying about this, but in my house we always struggle every year to get gifts, I remember a few years ago when I was so excited because I had $10 to spend on each person instead of $5. I realized how sad this was after talking with some people yesterday who were complaining because they only have $50 for each person, or their parents have told them that can’t buy them that $200 coat or phone that they want.
Part of me is happy I have had to deal with going without, I think it does make me a better person, but it still sucks when you can’t afford basic things, and then you can’t afford to buy extra stuff on holidays. I mostly hate that I can’t get something good for my niece and brother, my brother is 15 and is old enough to know he can’t get things he wants, but he didn’t get much as a kid since my sisters wanted so much. My niece is still young and should get something good. Maybe I’ll win the lottery that would be nice!

I know the feeling, I have already told everyone in my family that I’m making them something. I have come to relieze that once Iget everything together to make them a gift it would have been cheaper to just buy them a small gift. Things are way to expensive. BTW are you going to MIS next year? I know now is prob not a good time to ask but I was just wondering. Hope everything is going good for you.
