Everything and Anything

Everyone has left and my sisters and the one’s boy friend went to the movies. Right now it’s just me and my mom and I have to say this Christmas was good. Not the best we have ever had, but a good one the same. It just seems like so many of us are too stressed out right now to really enjoy this time of year. The other issue is the lack of money and how my niece was kind of disappointed with her gifts. She got a joy, but mostly clothes. Kids don’t like clothes so I get it and really she wasn’t too bad, but it’s still nice to see her light up when she gets something she really wants.

We did splurge on my mom, we got her a pet hair remover vacuum and she loves it. She used it today and had to empty it 6 times because it picked up so much stuff. We have 3 dogs and 3 cats in our house and one dog currently visiting so there is a lot of hair! It was worth it and it’s something she needed. My mom is very easy to shop for if you have the money, anything for the house she loves, she’s not a jewelery and clothes kind of person.

I have to say I do love my family as we are the type of people who don’t care about the money spent, the brand name or even getting a gift, we care more about spending time together and being a family. It’s nice and so different from other families I know.

Christmas is a time to remember the ones you have, the ones you have lost and the new people you will meet in the coming year. I for one am very excited to meet my new cousin who will be born next month. The baby I think will be a second cousin or something as it’s my cousin having the baby. I also have another cousin who’s having a baby later next year.

Really there are a lot of things to look forward to and a lot to be thankful for. I will close this post by simply saying Merry Christmas to you and please have a good and peaceful night.
