Earth Hour 2009
In just a few more minutes I will do my part for earth hour. I am turning off all my lights and my computer and reading by candle light. I did this last year for earth hour 2008 and I really enjoyed the experience. It was relaxing and a lot of fun. The best part is that I have done a lot since then to change my imprint on the environment. I bought a newer car that gets better gas mileage and I hope this year to buy a brand new hybrid car, not sure what kind yet as I’m not sure where I will be living. I hope somewhere warm where I don’t have to spend money and power on heat!
I plan on making a lot of other changes this year. After the summer I hope to move to a place closer to a job therefor using less gas and of course make my apartment or house as energy efficient as possible. That means for me, using LED lights, turning off things when not in use. (something I need to work on now) and using green products in my home.
I will do what I can to help the environmental, are you doing what you can?
