Keep Your Pet Save and Secure
The one thing I hate about everyday dog tags and other pet identification is that it can come off. I don’t know how many times I have had to search for one of our dogs Id or medical tags. It’s just a huge hassle and can lead to problems if they run away. This week. May 3-9 is the American Humane Associations, Be Kind To Animals week. This is a great time to find a more permanent id for your pet and help other pets as well.
It’s very easy to do, just visit the Home Again Web Site where you can learn about getting an id chip for your pet and find a veterinarian to preform the simple procedure, then go back to the website and register your pet. If your pet already has a chip then all you have to do is register. Also for a annual membership fee you can have a $3000 medical insurance policy for your pet. It only has a $50 deduction and covers problems your pet may have if lost.
Why should you register? Well your pet will be put into their database and if it’s lost and found by someone it can be returned to you. With normal tags they can just be removed and the people that found the pet can either keep them or will have trouble finding you, who know what will happen to your pet then. Of course another good reason to get your pet registered with this site is that right now Home Again is going to donate $1 for every pet registered to the American Humane Association using the Bring Pets home website, a fundraising Web site specifically created to help shelter animals. If you want to donate more then the $1 or if your pet is already registered you can visit the site and use it to do some of your shopping at retailers like Walmart, Macys and overstock.com. A percentage of your shopping bill will be donated to the Humane Association.
So what do you have to lose? You can keep your pet safe and help other pets in need to. It’s a win win situation and you can feel good about helping animals and people in need.
