Customer or Not
Today we are talking to our dean at school about actually putting the bacholars degree for interior design at our campus. It is not currently offered, but it should be as we do have many students interested in it. When we were talking about it this morning a thought came into my head. We as collage students are the customers, without us they don’t have a school. We pay to go here and as a paying customer we should get what we want, right?
I don’t think we are asking much, all they would have to do is add 5 classes and we have a teacher who is willing to teach them, she has before at another campus. Baker Collage though does not seem to realize that we don’t want to work in a furniture store, many of us want careers in an architectural firm designing, not selling people furniture and picking out wall paint. Of course that will be a small part of the job.
I guess what I’m wondering is why do I feel that I’m being ignored when I should be considered the customer? Do you think collage students are customers or not?
