The Real Reason You Cant Get A Job
Your credit. Yes, that is the reason you may be passed over for that much needed job. Your credit stinks or at least you owe something, that means that most collage students will not get jobs. They may find something, but it still will not be enough to pay those wonderful student loans every month and more then likely you’ll file bankruptcy, but that doesn’t cover student loans so your still stuck with bad credit and a horrible job, if you can find that even.
According to this article on ABC news When Your Credit Report Cost You. Almost 50% of companies now check your credit report. Gone are the days where it was mostly checked for positions that required handling money, now everyone gets checked. It’s suppose to show your responsibility, if you pay your bills your responsible, if not you are lazy and are not worth there time. Of course they don’t know the truth behind your credit. Did you lose your job and can’t find new work, did you get a divorce and your spouse ran up the credit card before it was official. It may have been caused by a stolen identity or just simply student loans that have yet to be paid because you can’t find work.
How fair is this. I have known for some time that this was done by many companies, I know that my credit report is a huge reason I can not find work. It stinks, I know this. I check it all the time. My problem is do I put food on the table and keep a roof over my and my parents head (both who are unemployed right now) or do I pay down my credit. I have done what I can, but I’m sure to some employer the fact that I run 3 business does not count, my credit report tells the truth, I am a lazy no good job candidate and my resume just went into the trash.
