I have been reading more and more about local search engine optimization as I have been trying very hard to get my new business off the ground. My company does provide a website, but I am thinking of doing a landing page so that others can find me easily and know what I am selling and hopefully book parties, yes it’s one of those businesses.

I figure since I have been doing SEO for a while with my blogs that local search engine marketing should be a easy next step. Not because it’s going to be easy, but because I already know a lot about SEO, though most of it has not worked for me yet, but I’m still learning. I know the terms and I know what it can do and how good the effects can be, but you need more time then I have to do it and a little money can really do some wonders.

I’m also looking into it more because I want to become really good at small business marketing. I am hoping to start my own offline business in the next few years, but the company will have a website. I want to start a furniture/kitchen design/commercial design mess. That’s the best way to put it anyway, I’m also thinking of starting a house flipping or something similar business and both of these will have to have websites and SEO to make it in the area I’m moving to and will probably stay in.

I think when it comes to businesses that are offline people don’t always think about SEO and online marketing as something they should be looking into, but after these last few years blogging I know it’s something that could really make my business take off and make me some money.

I think once I am almost done with my masters I am going to invest in some real estate in Hawaii, I just love the idea of owning a home there and being able to go there whenever I want. I really would love to find work there too, but I won’t keep my hopes up about that!

Why Hawaii? Well not only do I want to go there I have a lot of friends that do too and if we are smart we all buy a home and share the time. If we are really smart we buy a small hotel and share the profits along with having a place to stay for free there.

Yep, I have some great ideas, just wish I had the money now to do something with them. Oh well, maybe in a few years, like when I graduate. Unless I have way too many student loans.

Do you notice a trend here? A few days ago I wrote about how getting a good webhost can help you run a blog that could be successful, well finding a good webhost for your online business or business website is also a good idea too. Checking out a web hosting directory and finding out what is out there and available to you is a must. I think if I had looked into this more for a webpage and not a blog I may have set up my own online business and who knows where I would be.

But, I didn’t, though I do plan on running my own offline business someday (I know, GASP! OFFLINE!) but to run an interior design business I have to, though I will have a website and I will be doing some web host research again into a webhost, though I do love my host I know they may not be a good fit for my business. I also really like the idea of Green Hosting so that is also something I will be looking into as well.
