As many of you know I am a huge NASCAR fan. I’m going to the race in Michigan and actually have some really great seats on the start finish line. Yes I’m excited! This was something that a friend of mine was able to get so I don’t know if we can get it again. That is where sites like seat exchange come in handy. These sites allow you to buy and sell tickets to events. You can sell concert tickets without worrying about standing outside the show to do it.

Last year we really could have used this service as my sister bought a bunch of NASCAR tickets and no one was able to go. She couldn’t even go as they made her work that day. If I had known about this site then she could have sold her NASCAR sports tickets and gotten some if not most of her money back.

As for the site set up itself. It’s really easy to use and has a great look to it. You can decide what type of event you want to go to and narrow it down from there. They only take credit cards so no pay pal guys. It’s okay thats why you get the pay pal debit card right! I don’t know if I would use them to buy my NASCAR tickets as long as my friend can get us them, but there are a few concerts I would think about buying tickets for.

I didn’t see all of the race today as I got into a computer game I was playing, but I did hear all of it and watched most of it. It was a great race and I’m very happy to say Brain made it into the top 10 today so I’m very happy. Maybe it’s the start of a trend! I can only hope.

Anyway I got onto another site after the race was over and someone had posted something about Dale Jr. They asked if he was popular because he’s a good driver or because of his dad. Personally I think it started out because of his dad, it makes sense and there is nothing wrong with liking a guy because you liked his dad. It happens all the time. I do think though that he is a good driver and just needs the experience needed to be a great driver. I’m not a huge fan of his, but I don’t hate him either.

If you watch NASCAR what do you think? Is he a good driver or is he living off his dad?

I’m excited it’s Sunday and it’s race day. The fun part about today is that the race is in Texas a speedway I have actually seen as I lived near Fort Worth for a time. It’s strange looking back as at that time I wasn’t a huge NASCAR fan and I really didn’t care that much about it. At that time I only had watched a few races over a few years, didn’t have a driver I liked and watched it alone as no one else seemed interested. I still thought it was cool and would have gone to a race there if I could, but I didn’t get that chance.

So now I watch on TV knowing I have been there and thinking, now I want to go back. Maybe one day I’ll make it back there sit in the stands and think back to how much I miss it there. Who knows maybe I’ll just move back.

Today I am hoping for a top 10 finish from my guy Brian, we will see. Either way this will be an interesting race.

I watched the race off and on yesterday it was interesting and I loved the fact that my driver Brian Vickers made it all the way to second. It doesn’t happen much. Of course that is not where he finished, but it’s okay. Denny Hamlin won and thats cool so I’m not upset about the winner, actually I like the top 4. They all did well and it was a good race.

I couldn’t seem to get into the race though. I guess I had to much on my mind. Money mostly but I also didn’t feel right yesterday. I guess it was just a strange day. I’m still not feeling my best but I don’t have time to be sick. I’m trying to take it easy today because I start classes again tomorrow and I can’t miss them. Financial aid does not believe in people getting sick. I understand why it just sucks for those they do get sick the first few weeks.

So I’m finally watching the race and there was a huge wreck already, they have red flagged it ( put the race on hold) until the mess is cleaned up. They don’t do this often so if you don’t watch NASCAR, you can get an idea it’s bad. There was fire and a car flipped and I sat there with my mouth dropped to the floor.

So anyway I decided to get online and write about it. What was kinda funny about the whole thing is that my mom asked how much their life insurance was, because they were worried that one of the drivers was hurt. I wonder what their term life insurance quote would be! okay so I’m weird, but I really don’t want to know how much they pay, of course they may not pay much, it may be a perk of the job who knows.

Anyway, now I’m sitting here wondering whats going to happen next, they are talking about how bad the track is right now so who knows how long they will be racing today. At least I have the Oscars to watch if they stop, if they don’t I will be flipping between the two.

There is a chance that todays Sprint Cup race may be rained out, but as I was going through the NASCAR website I saw the ad for the NASCAR foundation. This is a great cause that anyone can help out with. Even if your not a NASCAR fan, but you know one you should check this out.

It’s very simple to participate, you buy a pin for $5 that money then goes to the NASCAR foundation, no it does not go to train drivers or pay for races, the money raised goes to helping different charities that NASCAR families have started, many help with chronic illness, education and wildlife conservation, If your still not sure about it, check out this link: supported charities to find out more about each charity and what they do.

I am buying a pin as soon as I’m done writing this. I did this a few years ago also and it’s really a great idea. Unfortunately I didn’t have anywhere to wear the pin on NASCAR Day, but this year I should have somewhere to wear it and anything else I buy before then. This year NASCAR Day is on Friday May 16th so there is still some time to get shopping and your donations in.

Of course I will be posting about this a few more times, so you won’t forget, it really is a great cause and helps thousands of children, families and environments in our country.

I’m very happy Ryan Newman won the 50th Daytona 500! He is not a top driver of mine, but he was one of my fathers so I am very excited he won the race. It was a pretty boring race at first, but the last 50 laps or so were very good and very entertaining.

My sisters friend is a Jr fan, but she drew Johnson’s name to win and she would have won $250 if he had won, so we were picking on her as she really does not like Jimmy. So that also made the day entertaining. There were no major crashes, which seemed weird, but it was still a good race and Brain finished 12th so I am very very happy. He’s a great driver he just has had some bad luck.

I’ll be back next week with more NASCAR highlights.
