I have often thought about moving to Canada, mostly because I could get health care that way and I’m in Michigan about an hour from the border so really I wouldn’t have to move far! Of course if I decided to move to Calgary that would be a different story. One reason I would chose to rent a home there would bee that it’s a larger city and would have a ton for me to do.

I’ve also thought of checking out Calgary as a vacation spot for summer. Yep, it’s colder there in the summer and I have this great idea of having a home in Michigan, Florida and somewhere that’s cool in the summer. Calgary just may be the place I choose as another country could be a lot of fun and since I am a Michigan resident I can get a drivers license that will allow me to travel to Canada without a problem. Of course if I moved there and got citizenship I wouldn’t have to worry anyway!

It seems that all of my friends are going crazy and I don’t want to follow that trend, they are all having problems in their lives and they want me to fix them. I’m not perfect and a lot of them I can’t fix that is why I’m looking for cheap flight deals to somewhere fun and relaxing. I’m tired of not being able to relax and do my own thing.

I think maybe I would go to Hawaii or even to Ireland or Italy. Place I have wanted to go for a long time. Too bad my search is more about a wish to go then actually being able to go, maybe one day I’ll get away from it all.

I realized today that if I do not get health insurance I will die before I’m 30. Everything that is wrong with me is preventable, but here in the US we care more about not helping others, about insurance company profits and really don’t give a shit about anyone.

So I’ve decided I am moving, well when I can afford to anyway, I’ve been looking at sites like AllCheapFares that offer Cheap Flights to various locations. I know it cost money to buy a ticket and to move, but I have figured out that leaving the US, moving to a new country in Europe and even buying stuff to learn a new language is less expensive then trying to pay for my diabetes care the rest of my life.

Airline Tickets cost about $2,000, then housing for a few months would be about $3,000. Getting a job, easier then here so that’s good so just over $5,000 and I can move. Paying for everything I would need to pay for for my diabetes $8,980 and that’s just the basics for one year.

So I think that moving would be a great idea and saving $6000 instead of $9,000 really would be a lot easier. I’m really thinking seriously about doing this.

Sometimes you want to get a gift that says something, means something and is something completely different from what someone would expect. I know your thinking I’m crazy and why would I want to leave the US? Really though I have always wanted to live in another country at least for a while. I love learning about different cultures and really the only way to learn a lot is to move there and emerge yourself in the culture.

I have been looking at some homes and I found a really great real estate company called Express Estate Agency and I love the properties they have listed. I found this one that I really love and would move into in a heartbeat if it wasn’t already sold and I had the money to afford it.

I love that this agency has a huge social presence too. You can follow Express Estate Agency on twitter and they advertise on sites like Ebay and Facebook. I also love that they give to charities, there 2010 charity is Childline / NSPCC

I have been thinking more and more about visiting some states that I have never been to. One of those is San Francisco. Of course I do need to know how much it will cost to go so I have been looking at Hotels in San Francisco and at the air fare cost to get there. I did think about driving but if I end up going on my own I don’t think I want to try to drive it as it would cost way too much.

I have found that San Francisco Hotels can be expensive, but with a few searches I was able to find some great deals that could actually entice me to go on this trip sooner then I thought. I found that searching different phrases for the same hotel search created different results. Like I tried Hotels of San Francisco and got different hotels then when I just searched for San Francisco Hotels.

I do have some family in the area I could stay with also, but I do think it would be fun to stay in a hotel for at least one or two nights while I’m there. Just so I can relax and not worry about being a bother to anyone.

Okay maybe you can take a vacation, currently I can not, but if I could I may just have had to check out villa rentals so I could actually relax and enjoy my vacation. I love the idea of renting a home somewhere and really learning about the culture. I hate vacations where you go somewhere and only check out the sites, you don’t learn about the people in the area, how they are and how they live. That really is the only way to experience a different place.

I would love to go to Italy and surround my self in that culture I just love everything I currently know about it and would love to learn so much more. I also would love to check out France, Germany and even Egypt. Where I want to go most though is Ireland just because I love the accent. I would probably come home with one as that is just how I am. I spoke with a Texas accent for a long time after I lived there. It was funny when people looked at me weird.
