I have been thinking of buying two new devices a pulse oximeter and a pedometer. I’m trying to lose weight, and I want to walk a mile a day, but I’m not sure if what I’m walking is a mile or less or more, more is fine, less is not. I live in the country and normally you figure that one block out here is a mile long, but I live on a street off that block that is almost in the middle. Pretty much my curiosity is getting the best of me.

The good news is that so far, I have been good. The bad news is that because of classes I can only get out 4 days a week to walk starting next week. I have time between classes so I may try to do something then, but at the same time I’m on insulin and they keep telling me I have to exercise at the same time every day. I’ll try it a few times and see if anything acts up.

I love Autumn. You get to see all the colors and the weather gets cool enough where it’s comfortable to go outside. I also get to put nice cozy sweaters on and school starts back up now. This year will be the last year at least for a while that I start school. I will be graduating this spring and am also excited about that. I’ve worked hard to get this degree and hopefully will be able to use it.

I plan on takeing a ton of pictures this Autumn, as it may be the last time I have a chance to. I’m hoping to catch the farmer harvesting the corn this year. I was going to take pictures last year, but missed him as I had to be in class. What do you like most about Autumn?

I’m a long time member of the get paid to do offers site Treasure Trooper. I became a VIP member well over a year ago and have yet to meet the requirements to get the extra stuff, mostly because I have not had active referrals, well this month I decided to cash in some stuff and get some referrals. Now that my referrals have met the requirements I have a shot at the extra stuff you get for being a VIP. The problem is now I have to get $25 in offers or shopping or something and have a total of $50 with referrals and my stuff combined. Here’s the problem, there are crap offers this month. I hate when they have nothing to offer but scam programs that you can’t get out of. This is where the problem is with these sites, most companies are now getting away from them because of all the scammers. It’s very anoying.

I would really like to do this just once, so maybe I’ll have a chance again, if I can get it going early enough in the month I may have a chance to get it again. It just seems to me like the get paid to do offers era is coming to an end, sad, but with companies not wanting members to repeat offers at all there is just not much for the original members to do.

I hate the way the market works, they send gas prices soaring in case something happens and then we the regular everyday people suffer. Yesterday my mother spent $200 to get my step-father to training for his new job. They had to take him, we need that money. Now she’s looking at no gas for her to get to work and oh yeah, my 15 year old brother probably won’t get anything for his birthday on Friday. I’m hoping I can fix that but I also need money to get to school at the end of the month, I may just not be able to make it to some classes. Sad that I have to put food and gas before completing my education, but I know I’m not the only one.

I really think that the government should have stepped in and said “no you can not raise prices over a dollar based on a fear.” But no, they love it when stuff like this happens as Bush adds to his fortune and the rest of us suffer. Really he could give a rats butt about the country, as long as he gets his money. Its sad that many Americans feel this way. Personally I don’t think we are any safer now then we were before 9-11. Why? Well because all of our troops are somewhere else!

Now that we have this bank sell off and another filing bankruptcy, what is going to happen, this didn’t just effect the US it effected the entire world economy. Times are different now and we need to come up with new ways to fix things, not the same old lets give the rich tax breaks and hope they start business, or the lets ignore it and it will go away deal either.

I think eventually we will get though this, but it will be a hard long road that involves getting out of this war and spending all that money here at home. Not in other countries and on other people, but here. It’s nice we help out others, but do we really need to do it at our countries citizens expense?

I thought about how I was going to write this post all morning, it seems that everyone has something to say about 9-11, where they were, what they were doing and what they felt. I have read though some great articles and blogs that discussed all of these things, but I wonder are they really sincere or are they just hoping to get readers to their blogs.

Maybe we should start to let go a little and move on, I don’t mean this out of disrespect, but out of respect for those who actually lost loved ones in this horrible event. As I was reading though many of these articles I saw a common theme. Many of the people who lost loved ones really are now just seeing the whole big deal we make of this day as a way to make money or get popular. One man didn’t want the presidential candidates there as they really felt it should be just for the families. I would have to agree, yes we were all effected in some way, but I think a simple moment of silence and a comment stating you care is enough.

So on that note I will stop talking and invite you to state your opinion, your views or even just a short I will remember. Also feel free to add a link to your post on 9-11 if you have one. There is one that I enjoyed reading below.

I’m a little upset as it looks like someone may be lying to my family they act like they want to help and do things with us, but then they come up with every excuse in the book as why they can’t or why they shouldn’t. I wouldn’t mind it so much if they wouldn’t come up with the ideas first. We make plans and then they back out leaving us to fend for ourselves. I don’t know if it’s just some sick little game they like to play or what. Yes country living is just like a soap opera without the money. I found out they did it again this morning and I’m just so tired of planning things and they getting screwed on them.

I am so far very happy with how local and the national government has responded to the latest hurricane Gustav. Now all we do is wait and see what happens. I hope that no one is hurt, but also know these storms can be very powerful. Yesterday I had someone ask me a question. Do I think they should rebuild New Orleans if it is hit this time? Well that’s very hard to me to answer as I have never been there. They asked me because I know a little about architecture and so on.

Here is what I told her. It’s a personal decision for the people who live in that city. Here it is 3 years later and we have another major threat. I guess if you are okay with constantly worrying about your home then rebuild, but if your tired already of working hard and seeing it destroyed or worrying that it’s going to be then maybe it’s time to go somewhere else. New Orleans has a great historical significant to this country and I would hate to see it totally abandoned, but if we can save lives by keeping it a smaller city, maybe that’s a good thing. Again it really is up to the people who live there as to what they want to do, it is their lives, not ours.
