I’m sitting here watching CNN and Food Network, (Iron Chef is on!) and they keep talking about the anniversary of Martin Luther Kings speech. I keep thinking about how as a child in city schools I learned so much about that speech. I was once chosen to sing a wonderful rendition of Amazing Grace along with 4 other students from my elementary school in Ann Arbor. I remember thinking about all of the children around me and how they may not have been here if it hadn’t had been for that speech.

It is an amazing event both the speech and the fact that we now have a presidential nominee that is a black American. I say black because I was once told by a friend of mine that she was not African, she was a black American. She was not born in Africa, therefor she should not be called African. I agree, we need to break down barriers like that and just call all of us Americans.

The I have a dream speech for me has always meant something. As a child I felt I had much more in common with the black community then whites. I lived among them and was treated as one of them. Maybe I was a strange child and when I told one girl that I had to thank Martin Luther King for giving me my best friend. She cried and I smiled. At that time I truly believed that I would not have been the person I was if she had not been around.

So today as I sit here waiting to hear Obama speak I want to show how much respect I have for the people who fought, black and white and in between for rights for minorities and women. The world would be a much different place if you had not stood up and spoken out.

I have been trying my hand at affiliate marketing for a while now and it seems that no one is really willing to help anyone out. It happens sometimes, but I think most people don’t want to share anything because they don’t want to lose money. Now I found a network that is a little different, a network Made For Affiliates, By Affiliates, Pepperjam Network and I have to say I love what they have to offer.

The advertisers they have I have not seen anywhere else and they really do help you out when your just getting started. There blog is very informative and keeps you up to date as to what is going on with the company and the advertisers. They even have a great resource page that will help you get the word out about the product you want to advertise. If your not sure how to get started they also provide links to sites that will help you. I have spent the last few days looking over these sites and they are very helpful. Overall I really think pepperjam has the potential to be a big time affiliate network and one that really cares about what they offer and their affiliates.

Sometimes even the best webhost have their bad days in fact a fellow blogger just had a really bad time with blue host, the hosting company I use. I don’t believe they have yet to figure out what her problem was, but I’m sure she’s looking at some other options.

The best thing to do when looking at webhosting is check out review sites like webhosting rating. They are still new from the looks of things as they don’t have many hosting companies listed, but they have a few that I have not heard of so it’s worth a look. It seems the big ones always have good things and bad things, but if you want smaller more personalized service you want to look beyond the big ones and this site helps you with that. They also have a great section with tips on choosing a domain name, something I should have looked into more, and other hosting related information. It’s a great start to a very helpful website.

Sometimes going back to school can be a good thing. One thing I always liked, and still do like about going back to school is that you have an excuse to buy new clothes. Even adults seem to know that they need new clothes come fall for work or school. Of course some of that may be because everyone offers such great deals on clothes right now.

I thought this summer I might get lucky and be able to get though it without having to fix my air conditioning in my car. So far summer has been cool and fun, but now it looks like it’s going to get much warmer next week. I may still hold off on getting the a/c compressor that I need anyway, unless it looks like I’m going to be taking a long trip. Maybe next week would be a good time to take it in and get the timing chain fixed. That way I have a reason to borrow my mom’s air conditioned car right?

I was looking at getting what I need from discount ac parts. They have some great prices and even my mechanic was surprised at what I found. I suggest you take a look there before going anywhere else. The best part is they have free shipping over $50 a great way to save some cash on this much needed luxury.

I really hate debt, I have way too much and I need Debt relief. I really need to get some Debt help. I don’t like having to worry about all of this. Debt consolidation maybe a great answer but I really don’t want to do it. I want to do it on my own but I just don’t know where to start, it seems that every time I get somewhere I end up back where I was before.

I took the test at Bills IQ and got an okay score it was 67%, but it could be better. They also gave me some great ideas on how to solve my bill and debt problems. Some are okay, like  the consolations services, I’m hoping never to use the socialspark.com/metrics/click/post?slot_id=12694&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bills.com%2Fbankruptcy%2F” rel=”nofollow”>Bankruptcy option, but my mom is now looking into it because of personal issues. You just never know what is going to happen. Life throws everything at you and then you have problems that are sometimes just too much. That is where Bills IQ’s debt pointers may come in handy.

Below you can listen to me ramble on about how I handle bill day, the day you pay all of your bills for the month. I don’t pay my monthly bills this way, but I do sit down once a month and figure out how to pay off my other debt.

I love when you get onto a website and all you see are good opinions of the site, yet when you go to another website all you see are bad things about the site, company or product. I usually don’t trust what a website says. I look around instead for User Website Reviews like the ones on Talkreviews.com. They have user reviews for a bunch of different websites and the navigation is awesome. The have it broken down into categories like shopping sites, kids sites and more. You can even review a website The best part is the reviews are from real people not advertising firms or someone working for the company hand picking the good reviews and throwing out the bad.
