Over the last month I have lost my internet 18 times. Now I’m not talking about a few seconds of lost internet but hours or days of lost internet. Our internet has not worked in over 2 days. I got on yesterday to play with my router and could not get in to do anything, today I managed to fix it myself and got it up and running.

I think back to other providers I have had, currently we have a company called Century Link, they are really the only company we can have as we live in the middle of no where and can not afford other companies that offer interent in my area. The sad part is that we live in a township of one village but have the address to another village, meaning we are stuck in the middle of a “no say” state, meaning we can’t vote for changes to things like our internet or any of that because it’s controled by the village our address is in, not where we actually live.

It’s annoying as when I had charter cable I only had to call them twice in the year and a half I had them and that was only when I didn’t get the bill paid in time. With Century Link we have called at least 10 times just this year. It’s crazy and I wish that companies would start hiring people who actually do their job, not people who just sit there and pretend to work.

It has taken me over an hour to load the page to post today. I am hoping to contact my internet provider soon about how we should not have to pay for crapy service. I think it would be nice to have at least gotten some sort of phone call or message that something was wrong with the internet and an aproxamate time it would be fixed.

Of course now a days its just too much to ask I think.

I need glasses to see, many people do and until recently it was very expensive to get good glasses. Now there are numerous places to buy eyeglasses like Zenni Optical and really they have a great service. It’s inexpensive and since many people don’t have extra money to spend on this necessity it’s good to have this type of business.

The problem is the optometrist. You know those people charging you $300-$1000 for eyeglasses. Really, they think that we are going to help them buy there Bentley now a days. Really I am so not paying more then I have to for glasses anymore. I’m tired of doctors and their “fees”. I recently as looking at a site where these people had the nerve to say that if I went online for my glasses I was not a customer, and I should be ashamed for buying my eyeglasses online. Well here is a thought, why don’t these optometrist push for universal health care so we can all afford their glasses, oh wait they won’t do that, that would also mean there prices would be regulated, no more Bentley for them.

I think I’ll just stick to getting my exams at my local walmart, as they have been very helpful in giving me my information and order my glasses online. I usually buy my contacts with them so at least they have the exam fee and money from the contacts. These other optometrist need to get a life and a new business model. Though many of them do seem so against it.

I was out with a friend last night and I just started to realize that people are weird. We all are, we act the way others want us too, but sometimes that behavior is weird in itself. One guy mentioned that he can’t go to other places because someone always wants to pick a fight. A women ran around trying to get everyone in the room to talk to her for a bet and another girl just sat at the corner of the room glaring at people.

I know how kids are, I have two nieces and a nephew and am the second oldest of five, count that FIVE kids. That is why when it comes to messes I would rather have a stainless steel kitchen sink then have one of these white ones that stain up all of the time. Really it takes forever to get stains out of a white sink!

That said, some stainless steel kitchen sinks are not as good as others. I like at least two sides to a sink along with a spray hose to help clean up better. How about you , what type of sink do you like?

I’m still not sure what is going to happen with school. I’m worried that I won’t get what I need and that this term is going to be rough to get though. I don’t have extra money right now as I’m still trying to help my mom stay in her house and pay for gas to get to school 2 days a week. If it wasn’t an hour and a half drive one way it wouldn’t be so bad, but it’s about $75-150 a week to get to class.

Sometimes I think it’s just not worth it. Though it does look like some jobs are opening up it’s all a drive from where I’m at and there is just no way I can move. I think I’m just asking too much for a break. Why is it that all I need is about $800 a month and I still can’t seem to get back to that?

Just sitting here watching TV this morning I have seen 2 commercials that are very misleading. One is for my collage, Baker Collage in Michigan. They tell you they will help you find a job, well what they don’t tell you is that you may get employment but it will most likely not be in your field, be a minimum wage job and you will find it yourself. They even count people who are going back to school (theirs or another school) as employed. I have only one term left with them and I have to say I will be so happy when I’m done. Of course that is if I can get registered for that term, but that’s another post.

The other commercial I saw was for Verizon Wireless. It’s there new commercial about how much better their 3G network is compared to AT&T. Now, I do want to disclose that I am AT&T customer but I would say this even if I was not. If you take a good long look at Verizon’s 3G map you will see that the say most of Michigan is covered, now I live in Michigans Thumb area, Look up Caro MI, if you don’t know where I’m talking about. Now if you have Verizon and you come to this area you can’t even make a call let alone use their 3G network! Knowing this makes me wonder how many other places that show covered on that map are not. Verizon doesn’t even have service in this area at all, we only get AT&T or another local company. No one else will move in so I have to say right now I’m happy with my AT&T service and guess what they do plan to have 3G coverage in this area soon. I’ve heard nothing of Verizon even trying to get service here!

Okay my rant is done I promise! Have you seen any false advertising on TV lately? What do you think about it?
