Today we have lost not only one Hollywood star but two great entertainers. Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson. It’s hard to believe that today we enter a world without these people, but the memories and joy they brought so many people will live on in our minds and on TV. I grew up watching Charlies Angels and though Farrah was only on one season she was a favorite of mine. Of course being a young kid and teen in the late 80’s and early 90’s I also listened to Michael’s music and loved his songs.
Unfortunately some people have been having fun claiming that other actors have died or are missing. As far as I can tell (and I will correct this if I am proven wrong. Harrison Ford and Jeff Goldblum are okay. No need to panic.
Moving on. I’m sure many people are trying to deal with the events of today. It’s hard for many who have had these 2 people in their lives though television to believe they are gone but things will move on and life will be okay. It’s not the end of the world, though they will both be missed.
RIP Farrah Faucet ~ RIP Michael Jackson

I have decided that this summer I will lose weight. I am not driving to school so I don’t have to eat out as much and I know that is not helping me lose anything. In fact in the last 2 weeks that I have been out of classes I have lost 10 lbs. I have not changed how I eat at home or my exercise routine at all. The only thing that has changed is that I’m not eating out.
I know I didn’t make the best choices when I was driving to class, but I had to have something quick, hand friendly and cheap. That means high calories end of it, I had no choice. Classes lasted all day and I had no where to store anything. Now though I am finding not only do I have more energy and feel better in general, but I’m losing weight without even trying. I think starting today though I’m going to up my exercise a little, I want to lose weight and be healthy, not just lose weight.

The other day I was talking with a friend of mine who is just getting into blogging. She is a mom of two and I started telling her about all the cool sites out there for mom bloggers. When I told her I was a member of a few she looked at me funny and asked me why I would join a mom community when I’m not a mom.
Her question did not surprise me as I have asked myself the same thing. I think a lot of it has to do with how family oriented I am. Trust me if I could have been married and had kids by now I would have, I love kids. I spend a good amount of time with my two nieces and nephews and according to most people I am a better mom figure to them then my sister. (she’s just very busy with work is all) I figure I do have some idea as to what kids like from my nieces and nephew and from helping raise my 2 little sisters and my little brother, yes I am one of 5 kids.
I do not join every mom blogger program out there, but I find that they tend to have more things for women then general blogging programs and the community is great. Truthfully I join because there just is nothing out there for my age and my situation. So do you think it’s strange that someone who is not a mom would join a mom blogging community?

I was talking with a friend of mine the other day and we ended up talking about Iran and what they are dealing with over there. Eventually our talk led to what we in the US should or should not be doing to help ourselves also. Now I’m not saying go out and riot or anything, but I feel that many Americans don’t want to speak up and be heard, they are happy with how things have been over the last few decades and don’t want things to change, though in the last few years many things have against all of our wills.
One thing I have heard a lot about is how people do not want the auto industry bailed out, their tired of banks getting everything and themselves nothing. Speak up, write your elected official and tell them so. Email them, go talk to them anything you can do to get what you want across. That is what the United States was built on.
Now my friend feels that because of all of these issues and a lack of anything being done quickly there maybe drastic measures taken as people get frustrated and angry. He sees a very violent revolution starting, something that will change everything we know now and create the start of a whole new lifestyle for Americans. This got me thinking, could it happen?

Today we ended up having to shave one of our dogs. She’s old, she kind of smells and her skin is dry with hot spots so it itches a lot. She
seems much happier now, but we wondered what we could do to help her more. We have gone to a vet and the shots he is giving her help, but she still is very itchy. We took a picture of her, sorry it’s blurry, but you get the point.
Today I also ended up running across a cool company called Dinovite and I decided to take their quiz to help me find a product that may be right for my dog. The recommended some great things like fish oil and omega 3 products. I know those are good for us humans so I’m sure the benefits for the dog would be good too. I was actually very impressed with their solutions center and I think I will have to have a talk with my mom about getting something for our dog. We really are very tired of vacuuming up dog hair all of the time and I personally am kept up all night from here itching as she sleeps in my room with me and we have hardwood floors in our bedrooms. Most of all though I want my poor dog to feel good in her golden years.

I have spend all day working on a custom theme for my home style tips blog. I’m really excited about it as it will be my first theme. I had to use a few themes to get things going, but it was mostly to see and get the set up done correctly. The style information is all me. It’s more work then I planned on as I had to keep searching for information on how to do things, but it has been a learning experience and I think this summer I may try to do a few more themes to give out and sell on this blog. Just something extra to add to the fun here.
I’m hopeing to be done with the theme tomorrow as today just got away from me. It’s only a few simple things that I have left to do and then I’m done. I’m pretty content with my other blogs themes so I’m not going to try to do those yet. I do have to say that my design one will problaby change again as I learn more and can make it better.

I am still considering switching my hosting service and I have found many sites that offer great reviews on web hosting but I really like the set of of Web Hosting Geeks. They have everything in categories, rated and reviewed by users. They also have a great list of green web host many of them are actually names I recognize. If your big on green web host you need to check out their list of hosting services and find one that works for you.
I myself am thinking about checking out hostgator, now powered by wind and one I have considered before or a new service called Green Avocado. I love the name and the fact that they are a also wind power service. Of course if your not looking to go green there are many other hosting services on Web Hosting Geeks and I’m sure you’ll find one to fit your needs weather it be dedicated servers or a free domain name. They have many categories, like best blog hosting, multiple domain hosting and best reseller hosting. I am going to be checking out a few hosting services on their site myself just to figure out what will work for me best and what will not.
If your looking to set up your first website I really recommend checking out this site. It’s very helpful and will hopefully not only get you a good deal on hosting services but will get you good hosting as well.
