While my mom was in the hospital my brother managed to kill the bird. Okay so I didn’t help any either as I should have checked on it too, but I was very busy running around. I thought about getting her a new one for mothers day, but I think maybe I’ll wait until I move out so that my cat doesn’t try to kill it. She got along great with the last one they even played together, but most birds she just wants to chase and kill.
The other reason I think I may wait is that I want to get her a new cage. She needs one that is easier to clean as she is getting older and won’t be able to pick it up to clean it. YCA Cages has a good selection and I may order one from them once it’s time to do so. I really want one that is lighter for her. I’m sure I can find something that will blend with the decor of the home and be easy to clean. Yes it has to go with her furniture I am an interior designer after all and I can’t have a bird cage that doesn’t go with the decor!
