I thought this summer I might get lucky and be able to get though it without having to fix my air conditioning in my car. So far summer has been cool and fun, but now it looks like it’s going to get much warmer next week. I may still hold off on getting the a/c compressor that I need anyway, unless it looks like I’m going to be taking a long trip. Maybe next week would be a good time to take it in and get the timing chain fixed. That way I have a reason to borrow my mom’s air conditioned car right?

I was looking at getting what I need from discount ac parts. They have some great prices and even my mechanic was surprised at what I found. I suggest you take a look there before going anywhere else. The best part is they have free shipping over $50 a great way to save some cash on this much needed luxury.

I was talking with someone today who was thinking about donating their truck so that someone who really needs it could use it. They want to buy a new car so that they can save on gas. They know the bill is going to be higher as they own the truck, but things are going wrong with it and many places you donate autos to will fix them and then hand them out.

I wrote way back in December about donating a car to a charity called Car Angel. I referred this person to that post and they have decided that it will work very well for them. They had no idea that a program like this existed and they were very happy to try to help out.

I’m happy to see people thinking like this. Not only does it give you a tax write off, but your helping someone. In this case this person would only have gotten about $500 for the trade in anyway so helping someone by donating a truck seemed like the right thing to do.

A few years ago a friend of mine broke down during a blizzard. She was stuck there for 4 hours with a car that would not turn on. Luckily she had a blanket in the back a lighter and 2 candles. This is our standard get stuck pack. You need it here in Michigan over the winter, you never know when you may be stuck in the cold.

Right now in my car i have a flashlight, a candle in case the flashlight doesn’t work and a blanket, but they take up a ton of room in my car and I really don’t have anywhere to put some of the other things I need. I think though I may have found a great solution to saving space, the Cabin Cuddler. All it is is a tote bag that carries a blanket and inflatable pillow and then turns into a pillow case. This would be perfect to put into my car for when I travel.

Of course you can also use it at home, or when your traveling. My little sister always gets cold no matter where she is this would be perfect for her. Right now I’m thinking Christmas gifts for everyone I know, after all I want them to be safe too!

I have a general car knowledge, I know where to put oil, windshield washer fluid and all that stuff but I have no clue about the rest of it. Things like an ac compressor and all the technical stuff confuse me.

It makes trying to figure out what needs to be fixed on my car annoying, but there is not much I can do. I know I need the shocks fixed since the car bounces like crazy, but thats about it. The oil also needs to be changed too this summer. I’ve decided that I need to get the major or annoying things about my car fixed before I move. That way I have money to do it without worrying about rent. I’m just wondering what my mechanic is going to say about my junk purchase. It’s not a bad car, but it does have some things wrong with it that I won’t be fixing because I hope to have a job next year after I’m done with school and that would hopefully mean a new car.

yes that is what you can get if your buy a new Chrysler vehicle. Right now they are running a promotion to get you to buy their cars and I think it is a great idea, though it won’t help us to stop our dependency on foreign oil.

You can get more information here, but I will give a summary of how it works. You buy the car and you get a gas card that is hooked to your debit or credit card. When you use the card you will be charged the $2.99 per gallon, the rest of the cost will be sent to Chrysler to pay for. According to the article other manufacturers are watching this program and may offer something similar. I think it’s a great way to get people to buy better fuel efficient cars, and help them save some money. What do you think?

So I’m thinking the other day that if I’m going to fly to Florida I will need a car rental. This is still all very hypothetical but I’m hoping to be able to go. I just want to have some sort of idea as to how much this trip will cost me now to see if I can do it and I know it’s very expensive to rent a car but at the same time it sometimes is not too bad if you can get a good deal.

Right now I’m looking at advantage.com since they have a few good deals that could help me out. Of course what they have now could change by the end of summer when I want to go, but who knows maybe they won’t. Right now I’m looking at the 19.99 and up deal the closer I can get to the 19.99 the better though. I don’t need a huge car. I just need one for me to drive around for a few days. I guess I’ll just have to plan on that and wait and see.

Yesterday I decided my car needs a bath again. I live on a dirt road and my car is covered in sand and dirt and looks horrible. I need to wax it and I picked up some the one day to do it, but my little brother found it and used it on my mom’s car so that he could go to the movies. Now my mom’s car looks great and mine still is dirty.

I’m thinking of trying a new car wax I found online. It’s made by Lanes, and it looks like a great product. I think the big reason I am sold on it is I love the video on you can watch under the wax section. I want my car to be shiny like that! I’m also thinking of ordering the bug remover because I have a thousand bugs on the front of my car and it’s driving me crazy. The other day I came in with a bunch of bugs on my paints because I leaned on my car.

Yes I’m obsessed about my car. I just got it and hadn’t had one for a few months. Let me play teen again for a while, please!
