I was talking with someone today who was thinking about donating their truck so that someone who really needs it could use it. They want to buy a new car so that they can save on gas. They know the bill is going to be higher as they own the truck, but things are going wrong with it and many places you donate autos to will fix them and then hand them out.

I wrote way back in December about donating a car to a charity called Car Angel. I referred this person to that post and they have decided that it will work very well for them. They had no idea that a program like this existed and they were very happy to try to help out.

I’m happy to see people thinking like this. Not only does it give you a tax write off, but your helping someone. In this case this person would only have gotten about $500 for the trade in anyway so helping someone by donating a truck seemed like the right thing to do.

This week I was in class talking to 2 girls who I have come to enjoy talking to. They are 2 really nice people and I love that I have met them. It’s just too bad that we won’t have anymore classes together.

Anyway we were talking and the one girl looked at me and said I should be a model. Apparently she thinks I have a nice face. I have been told that before, but if you look at all of me you would think they were nuts. I’m a big girl and not in the big girl model type of way. Trust me I would love to be a plus size model in a local thing though, I would not want to do that as a living.

Anyway she was talking to me about Prima Donna Bras how she use to model them for a local think. It was a charity thing for breast cancer. They also used other bra’s but she remembered these and liked them the most. She told me the women was thinking of doing it again, but didn’t have many models. It would be next spring so I would have some time to lose weight, I think I just may try harder now. I think it would be fun.

I’ve decided that I am going to see if I can raise any money to help with bills. I don’t like asking for money so I am going to use my top spots to raise it. Right now you can buy a top spot for $1 on this blog and my money making blog. If your feeling very generous you can also buy one on my diabetes blog for $3. That money will be split between my bills and helping my mom.

My aunt actually gave me the idea, she is doing a fund raiser for my mother on Monday at her home. I don’t expect to get a ton of money, but even a hundred will pay our electric bill for this month. When she told me she was going to do that I kept thinking well what can I do I have the whole world I can try to contact. I figure by giving you something in return maybe I’ll be able to make $5, hey that buys a loaf of bread and some cheep peanut butter for my brother to eat.

Right now I feel this is all I can do to help. I’m still waiting to see what is going to happen and if I should stay home and not look for work. I still feel kind of alone in this, but I know eventually I will be okay and get though it. We don’t have much in the form of extras, we have a home phone, cell phone, satellite and Internet. I’m going to try to pay for 3 of those. My step dad can cover the cell phones since he needs them for work. We will have some money coming in, but not enough to catch up on the bills we are behind on and keep up with them. Medical cost are a problem, but we may be able to figure out something there.

Anyway if your in a charitable mood check out my top spots or if you don’t want that I am accepting donations though pay pal. The button is on my sidebar. Please make sure to say something like for your mom if you do it that way. I have donations for diabetes research I get also so I need to know what its for.

If you don’t have the cash I understand the economy sucks and everyone needs what they have. If you still want to help but cant to it with money, you can always let others know about this and send me traffic that will help me too.

Okay I’m done begging now. I feel a little better, but still bad about asking for money. Oh well I guess I have to get use to it for a while.

There is a chance that todays Sprint Cup race may be rained out, but as I was going through the NASCAR website I saw the ad for the NASCAR foundation. This is a great cause that anyone can help out with. Even if your not a NASCAR fan, but you know one you should check this out.

It’s very simple to participate, you buy a pin for $5 that money then goes to the NASCAR foundation, no it does not go to train drivers or pay for races, the money raised goes to helping different charities that NASCAR families have started, many help with chronic illness, education and wildlife conservation, If your still not sure about it, check out this link: supported charities to find out more about each charity and what they do.

I am buying a pin as soon as I’m done writing this. I did this a few years ago also and it’s really a great idea. Unfortunately I didn’t have anywhere to wear the pin on NASCAR Day, but this year I should have somewhere to wear it and anything else I buy before then. This year NASCAR Day is on Friday May 16th so there is still some time to get shopping and your donations in.

Of course I will be posting about this a few more times, so you won’t forget, it really is a great cause and helps thousands of children, families and environments in our country.

This year I have been very blessed to find a way to earn money online. I am able to do something I love, writing and get paid to do it. If it wasn’t for IZEA and other paid blogging companies I would not have been able to start paying off my debt. It’s hard when you are young and can not find work. When you get depressed because bill after bill after bill is coming into your home and there is nothing you can do. Your credit gets ruined and you give up. At one point I thought my life was over. I actually wanted to die just to get rid of all the stress. Then I found Pay per Post, now IZEA and I had hope. I started my first major blog on blogger just over a year ago. I didn’t join IZEA until April of this year but I had known about paid blogging before that. I was not very impressed with what was offered until IZEA came into my life and helped me.

In May I was diagnosed with diabetes. I was in the hospital for a week. Now on top of my other debts I had a $600 hospital bill to pay. Thankfully I’m a student and had insurance through my mom and thanks to IZEA I wasn’t as worried about paying this bill. I knew I would have something to give them even if it was $5.

Now I have a chance to say thank you to IZEA for all they have done for me. The forums at IZEA contain such wonderful and helpful members. One Mama BoK decided that we needed to give back to IZEA by giving to a charity. We asked the staff of IZEA to pick one and they did. Habitat for Humanity was the one they chose and I couldn’t be happier. When I was younger I lived in low income housing I knew what it was like to be without your own home as we had just moved out of my grandparent home. I remember watching homes go up in a few of the lots next to us. They were being built by habitat for humanity. I was only 10 at the time so I really didn’t know who they were, but I knew they were doing something good. I still remember the looks on the families faces when they saw their new home. I was moved and still am today.

I am proud to say I have made a donation in IZEA’s name to Habitat for Humanity. It’s not much as I don’t have it, but it’s something. Any amount will help, from $1 to $1000. You can give too. Help families who need a home, a life and some hope. Even if it’s just $1 if 5000 people donated $1 each that would be $5000. Think about what they could do with that.

I found this amusing, a company has come out with a chew toy. The company located at www.headlinepettoys.com. This is the only item they sell, but it’s very interesting and fun. I hope that they will be adding more soon.

The best part about this site is that they are donating part of the proceeds to charity to help animals. This is always a great thing in my book as many animals are abused or homeless.

So if your looking for a way to express your anger at this horrible man buy your dog a chew toy and let the revenge began.

There are many charity’s out there today. They want your money, and they want alot of it. There is one charity that doesn’t want your money, they want your car, truck, boat or lawn mower. Car Angel then takes those and turns it into funding for different causes, like helping people in poor country’s. Helping men and women in prison to get an educating so that they may have a chance to change. They also make videos like the following for people around the world.

Car donation is easy and the best part is the car does not even have to run. I just killed my car and if I end up getting a new one I will be donating it to this cause. Car Angel help so many people world wide and we as Americans need to realize how much we waste and throw away that other people could use.

So in this time where we ourselves are unsure of where the economy will be, think about how bad other countries have it, then go take a look in that garage of yours and see what you could donate that you don’t use anymore. Then you can have that wonderful feeling when you know that you helped someone learn to read, eat food for the first time in 6 days or give someone a chance at life.
