Christmas Shopping For My Nephew

Posted by Holly on Nov 25, 2008 under Christmas shopping

I have a really cute nephew who I really would love to spoil this year. I don’t have a lot of money to spend, but since I’m combining his birthday and Christmas gifts I have set aside a little more for him then for everyone else. I have been looking around online for good deals for everyone as usually when you buy online you can get the best deal. I did find a cool Disney figurine, but he’s not quite old enough to appreciate that yet and I want something he can use.

I did find this cool Mega Cars set that he could use and of course would love. He is only 2 but loves the movie Cars. I know the age thing on it says 3, but he acts much older then he really is so I think it will be okay. It is a little more then I have to spend so I’m thinking I may have to see if someone wants to go in on it with me.

It seems that shopping for young kids these days is so hard. Thats one reason I do love and have been looking at the Mega brand. They have a good product and you can trust it’s made well and you can shop on their site by age. Helpful if your not sure what to get someone, but know at least how old they are. Of course I have found that sometimes if they are close to the top of the age group going to the next one may be better. I guess that though is up to the person buying the gift.

Another long day

Posted by Holly on Dec 20, 2007 under Christmas shopping, stuff

Once again we went Christmas shopping, this time the day went much better and we got alot more done. It was also was not as busy as yesterday and people were alot nicer, my faith in humanity has been restored!

There were a few interesting points to our day. Mostly people playing with my nephew because he’s so cute, but there was a man who thought my nephew was my baby and he kept telling me I needed to plan for the future. He handed me a thing about getting life insurance quotes and kept going on about planing for college and all that. Once he took a breath I was able to tell him the baby was not mine, but I would give my sister the information.

Anyway we were able to get some great Christmas gifts and came up with a few more that we can get later. Hopefully we can do that soon so were not out Christmas eve trying to get things done. We will have to wait and see!

Find Coupon Codes

Posted by Holly on Dec 8, 2007 under Christmas shopping, stuff, website review

Who doesn’t like a good deal? If you read this blog alot, you know I do and I love using coupon codes too. Why because sometimes you can get even more off your order or you can buy more that way. Just yesterday I was online looking for Christmas gifts and I went to one of my favorite sites to get them, they give things away with your order depending on how much you buy. Well I bought alot and I got 3 gifts! Then I found a coupon code, and got 10% off on top of my 3 gifts. In all I got an extra 150 in products. Not bad if I should say so.

coupon codes are not hard to find, one site Planet.com has a great selection of them There also an easy to navigate site and they even have an expiring deals section. I think thats a great idea as I always seem to find coupon codes that are really good just after they expire. So if your like me and looking to save some cash this holiday check out planet and get yourself some coupon codes.

I wish

It would figure, now that I know I will not have money to spend on Christmas gifts this year, I found the perfect watch for my brother an IWC watch. He likes the design and everything. I saw him looking at them the other day. I guess I’ll have to add it to my list of things to get people next year.

I hate that my car went now, of course I’m happy it went before exams and not during my exams. I can’t make those up and if my car had quit like it did this week, I wouldn’t have made it for the exam. I hate that I live where there is not public transportation, but I don’t have a choice, no job means no moving to my own place. I’m really pissed at google right now. I was very tempted yesterday to stop in while I was in Ann Arbor and yell at them, luckily I wasn’t driving, my sister was and she wouldn’t give me the keys. It’s sad that one company has managed to completely destroy Christmas for so many family’s and also destroy lives, some people pay their rent with blogging money. They put food on there table and pay their bills. Google is a monopoly that needs to be stopped. Unfortunately everyone is to scared to do anything.
