Computers, cables and money

Posted by Holly on Apr 21, 2008 under shopping, stuff, website review

I have been on the lookout for some well priced computer cables because I really need a few so that I don’t have to worry about plugging them in every time I move my tower out of the desk. I hate having to unplug everything because all of the cords are so short. I found a great site called Diablo Cable that has great prices on computer cables and more. They even have aCisco cable that will allow you to connect your laptop to a Cisco device. I don’t personally need that, but I remember a classmate saying something about needing one. At least now I know where to send them for it.

The site is also very easy to use and has a great look to it. I find that if the site looks like it was thrown up in a day and has very little visual appeal I don’t trust it. This one does not have that problem at all. They also take paypal. That is a huge plus for me.

credit check

Posted by Holly on Mar 21, 2008 under money

I am trying to get my credit back togeather and it seems like it’s a huge up hill battle. I just logged onto my personal credit report on true credit and found that bills I had paid a few months ago still don’t show as paid. I just don’t understand what is so hard about getting on a computer and saying  yes the bill has been paid. I still owe a ton more money anyway but it would be nice to see if even the 300 I paid will do anything to my score.

The other day I added all of my debt up without my student loans I still owe about $6,000 one from a credit card where 2,000 is fee’s, yes just fees because they lied to me and told me the money would come off of my card, not out of my bank account. Lets just say I will never have an American Express again. They just lie to you and blame you. Yep so right now they are last on my list to get paid. I only owed them 700 or so that I pulled off te card. It’s up to over $3000. I just don’t get how they can do that.

Anyway I’m hopeing to get caught up soon. In one year I graduate and I will about about 50,000 in student loans to pay. I don’t think it will ever end.
