My forum is finally having it’s grand opening. I’m excited about it because I have worked very hard on this forum. It’s a paid to Post forum called Cash and chat and today only there will be some cool prizes being handed out. We also have a few longer running contest too.

I love forums because they have a feeling of community, a blog can have that too, but sometimes it takes a long time to get there. Forums on the other hand can have that right away and do very well. If your interested check out Cash and Chat and let me know what you think.

Tomorrow is Friday and at my house that means we will probably have fish, I don’t know why buts it’s something my mom likes to do. Usually she makes shrimp as we have a ton of it, but I talked her into letting me make this cool scallop dish that I came up with a few weeks ago.

You take scallops garlic and olive oil and combine them in a pan, you also can mix them in the garlic and olive oil and grill them instead.

Once they are cooked you combine them with any pasta you like then add some feta cheese.

If you like you can add spinach, broccoli or any other veggie to the mix too.

I love creating dishes that have a strange twist to them. Most people would not expect the feta cheese in this dish. I don’t have a name for it yet, but I’m open to suggestions. I’m thinking it would be a great dish to have on some type of Cook off show where you have to compete because it’s fun to make and easy too. I am looking forward to the Great American Cook off as I love watching contest like these and getting ideas from them or even just trying out what they make. Sometimes I can’t as what they use is hard to get or expensive. That is another good thing about my recipe it’s easy to get the ingredients for as most stores sell them.

If you could makeover one room in your home which one would it be? Would you pick a bedroom, living room or maybe add a game room? I don’t own my own home, but I live with my parents and if I do enter this contest I would choose to remodel their basement. Why? Well they just had this home built and they had many problems with the people who did it. They would not talk to my mom, my step dad was always on the road and had no clue what was going on. So things were done poorly and not up to my or my mothers standards.

I have a teen brother who needs a game room so that him and his friends can stay out of trouble and would want to be at our home. As you can see we have a few things. We would just like to finish it off as best as we can. Usually we don’t make a huge fuss over mother’s day. My mom’s birthday is in April and we usually do something then, but in May the last 2 years my little sisters have had things going on as they were getting ready to graduate from high school. This year no one is doing anything so we figure it would be a good year to do something for mom.

Unfortunately because of my older sisters work schedule we will have to plan it before mothers day, but thats okay. We have some ideas in our head about what to do. My little brother said buy her flowers, my sisters say a gift card. I know right now 1800 flowers is doing a special thing for moms, Celebrate Mom For Who She Is Contest. It sounds interesting and I like the idea of winning over $30,000 in stuff, but for me mom mom really doesn’t fall into one of those categories. They need an other category!

I really have no idea what we may end up doing, but I think taking her out for dinner would be fun. On the other hand doing that for her birthday may be more fun, and doing a family grilling or something would be good for mothers day as we have a large family and it would cost a good amount to go out and eat. Who knows my little sisters tend to come up with their own thing when we try to plan anything so it may just be a wait and see.

I’m a student so I know how hard it is to get money for school. The good news is there are contest where you can win money to pay for your College Education. Right now Procter and Gamble are working with some great soap operas so you can get $50,000 dollars for your child’s education or a 6 month supply of pampers.

I think this is a great contest. All you have to do is watch one of the soaps and find out which character spoke the first line of the show. There are three soaps to choose from but you can only submit one answer per day. Still it’s a great shot at helping your child pay for college.

I decided a few months ago to learn Spanish, yes I know some but I wanted to know more. Well today I got another set of the same program in the mail. I won it in a drawing someone had. Since the bloggy givaway carnival is going on I am now going to give it away on my blog!
