This year I have been very blessed to find a way to earn money online. I am able to do something I love, writing and get paid to do it. If it wasn’t for IZEA and other paid blogging companies I would not have been able to start paying off my debt. It’s hard when you are young and can not find work. When you get depressed because bill after bill after bill is coming into your home and there is nothing you can do. Your credit gets ruined and you give up. At one point I thought my life was over. I actually wanted to die just to get rid of all the stress. Then I found Pay per Post, now IZEA and I had hope. I started my first major blog on blogger just over a year ago. I didn’t join IZEA until April of this year but I had known about paid blogging before that. I was not very impressed with what was offered until IZEA came into my life and helped me.

In May I was diagnosed with diabetes. I was in the hospital for a week. Now on top of my other debts I had a $600 hospital bill to pay. Thankfully I’m a student and had insurance through my mom and thanks to IZEA I wasn’t as worried about paying this bill. I knew I would have something to give them even if it was $5.

Now I have a chance to say thank you to IZEA for all they have done for me. The forums at IZEA contain such wonderful and helpful members. One Mama BoK decided that we needed to give back to IZEA by giving to a charity. We asked the staff of IZEA to pick one and they did. Habitat for Humanity was the one they chose and I couldn’t be happier. When I was younger I lived in low income housing I knew what it was like to be without your own home as we had just moved out of my grandparent home. I remember watching homes go up in a few of the lots next to us. They were being built by habitat for humanity. I was only 10 at the time so I really didn’t know who they were, but I knew they were doing something good. I still remember the looks on the families faces when they saw their new home. I was moved and still am today.

I am proud to say I have made a donation in IZEA’s name to Habitat for Humanity. It’s not much as I don’t have it, but it’s something. Any amount will help, from $1 to $1000. You can give too. Help families who need a home, a life and some hope. Even if it’s just $1 if 5000 people donated $1 each that would be $5000. Think about what they could do with that.

There are many charity’s out there today. They want your money, and they want alot of it. There is one charity that doesn’t want your money, they want your car, truck, boat or lawn mower. Car Angel then takes those and turns it into funding for different causes, like helping people in poor country’s. Helping men and women in prison to get an educating so that they may have a chance to change. They also make videos like the following for people around the world.

Car donation is easy and the best part is the car does not even have to run. I just killed my car and if I end up getting a new one I will be donating it to this cause. Car Angel help so many people world wide and we as Americans need to realize how much we waste and throw away that other people could use.

So in this time where we ourselves are unsure of where the economy will be, think about how bad other countries have it, then go take a look in that garage of yours and see what you could donate that you don’t use anymore. Then you can have that wonderful feeling when you know that you helped someone learn to read, eat food for the first time in 6 days or give someone a chance at life.
