I have once again been looking though the paper, online and everywhere else for a job. I have done a sales job search and interior designer search online and still nothing. I hate this economy and I hope it won’t effect me getting a job once it improves. I know I have been going to school right now, and that should help me when it comes to explaining what I have been doing the last 3 years, but I also have done this online stuff and I’m not sure how to explain that. Some companies may look at is as good intuitive as I found a way to make money when I couldn’t find a job.

Some companies though may find it a bad thing, and actually a few have, many have told me that making money online is the lazy way out of finding work and that it shows that I don’t really want a job. If I really wanted to work I would have spend thousands of dollars, that I don’t have, on websites to make myself show more in searches and so on. Frankly I think they are a bunch of jealous idiots because I have actually been able to make an income online. So what do you think, is it easy to make money or hard?

I love a good sale and right now there seem to be a few going on as companies are trying hard to get you to buy their products. Some are doing a good job while others are just not cutting it. I’m still not happy with a certain clothing store, even though I have found items I would like to buy, but will be putting it off until after I’m sure I have enough gas to get to school for the next 2 weeks. It seems with the economy being the way it is, people are looking for a good deal on everything from gas to food to clothing. Of course business are also hurting because they can’t sell these items at prices they would give them huge profits because no one will buy them.

With the economy being so bad I have once again been looking at Buy.com for Christmas gifts and things for myself. I found a few things that I could get people for Christmas and I have found some really great wireless phones that I will need when I move. They are only $29 and would work great for me in a new home. I have a phone, but it’s not the worlds best and it seems to want to cut out a lot. I also have one with an answering machine, but I haven’t used it in over 2 years and am not sure if it even works anymore. I know eventually I will have to get new phones and at this price I’m thinking eventually may be sooner then I thought.

I didn’t make much last month online and this month is looking worse. I think I’m up to a whole $70 with everything combined. I’m trying out some new things though and hopefully it will work out okay. The good news is I just finished my online class so I can now sell the textbooks from that. I hope I get more then I did the last time I sold books. I got a whole $.99 for each of the two I sold and one of the people gave me a neutral rating because it took too long to get there. They said media mail was fine. I guess they thought it would be there overnight anyway.

I’m still looking for work, it’s that time of year that I may get lucky and find something, but with the economy the way it is people are just not hiring right now. If it looks like I’m going to be stuck here I may see if the local clothing store is hiring or something. I really don’t want to go back to wal-mart, but will if I have to, if I can get in.

I was watching the news last night and saw that McCain is leading in the polls. Okay he’s got a lead good for him, well mostly good for Palin because I once again talked to a women online last night who said she is voting for anyone but Obama, because Hillary didn’t win and it’s likely McCain won’t last though the term.

I couldn’t believe she said that, not only does she not care about the issues, she hopes McCain dies so a women is in the white house? I’m at a loss for words here. I guess this is what it has come down to for some people. They don’t care about the future of the country except that there is a women in the white house. These are the people that drive me crazy, the ones that don’t seem to listen to what the candidates say, they just see what they look like or their gender and go that way. That is no way to vote and really I hate to say it, I would rather just see them all stay home.

I don’t really care who people vote for as long as they vote for the right reasons. Even friends of Palin have not made up their minds who they are going to vote for as they disagree with some of her or McCain’s views. We need to stop looking at who has the experience and who would look better or what their gender is and look at the issues.

Here are my feelings and if you disagree feel free to Politely state your side.

Right now the economy sucks and giving tax breaks to the rich is not going to help. Why? because even with their tax breaks they have stopped spending money on some things. The rich are rich for a reason, unless they win the lottery, they are good with money. They know when to spend and when not to. They can afford to cut back as they can buy food and clothing, even overseas if they want to. If you then drop down to the middle and lower class, they spend all of their money on food, clothing and all of that, they boost the economy because they can’t buy out of the country, they buy at wal-mart, sears, JcPenny or other department store. The middle class needs the tax break to have that extra to spend.

The other argument people have is that in order to get investments and businesses going we have to give tax cuts to the rich. Again, remember they already have the tax cuts, they are not investing it because interest rates are too high. Also if you look at the business world now, people in the middle and lower class are starting to take risk and start their own business. Many are doing this online because it cost almost nothing to start. If you don’t have any money you start small. I started small. I got a free blog on blogger and went from there. My start up cost was zero!

You can do with this many types of business. Start by using eBay, yes you pay fees, but you don’t have to worry about setting up a store or anything. It’s also not that expensive to start up a website, say you like making candles. You can sell those online, you can even use blogger to sell them and not pay anything!

If you look at it this way you see that McCain’s tax cuts just will not work in this new age of business that is starting, We need a fresh thinker who has been in our shoes, who has lived off of welfare and knows how the system really works. If you have never been on it, you don’t know.

There are other issues too, but this is getting long already so I’ll leave you with this. What are your thoughts?

I have to say I am very impressed and after listening to him am am very sure I will be voting for him. I think he will be about change, and as he put it we don’t need to take a 10% chance for change. I was not able to vote 8 years ago I was 17 when voting took place, but 18 when Bush took office. I wish I could have had a voice, because I would have voted against him and I would have felt like I tried. Instead I am one of those who has struggled since I graduated to find work, pay for school and food and try to make a life for myself.

Obama’s plans for this country is what needs to happen, we need to take care of ourselves not try to pay for everyone else when we have homeless people and children that can not eat. I am tired of watching people with money get everything and complain when they can’t have that second or third home. That needs to stop and if your one of those people, think about how the economy is for you, now think about what it would be like to wonder if you’ll have food tomorrow? I’m sure you don’t worry about this.

I think though the best part of the speech was that Obama believes in family and parents being able to be parents, not working all the time to make ends meet, not worrying about money or how they are going to get their kids to and from school. We need to make a change, and we need to now or we are just going to keep going downward and things will just get worse.

He also stated that you don’t defeat terrorist by being in Iraq. he’s right terrorism is everywhere, you defeat it by sending the message that you are willing to look past differences, not enforce your believes onto others. Working with others is the answer, not going in with power and weapons and making people do as you want them too.

We as a country need to think, what about me? what about my children what about our lives, our homes, our issues? Why can’t we spend Billions on our schools and our health instead of on war and other countries that just use us so that they don’t have to spend anything?

The United States is on at a canyon, do we step forward and build a bridge across or do we sit down and let things stay as they are?

With the way the economy is everyone is looking for cheap clothing and a good deal. I still believe that one of the best places to find good deals is online, one place to check out to get Discount Clothing is heavenly Couture, right now the site has a great deal going on and not just the fact that everything is $17.95 or less if you spend over $150 you get 5% off your order and if you spend over $250 you get 10%. Thats a great deal.

They also have very cheap clothing that is stylish and fun, the only downside is you will have to check the site daily and place a daily order if you like what they show. Here is how it works they feature one new item daily for $9.95. Today they have a very cool sparkly shirt that most women would love to have, I’m on the bigger side so it wouldn’t work for me, but I may check out what they have tomorrow.

Overall they have a great selection of clothing. I have posted a few of my favorites here, but I really suggest you check them out for yourself, they have so much more to offer that is unique and fun to wear.

My mother rents a home. She loves doing it and I love that she has been able to make it succeed. It was out of necessity as she had a new home built just before all of this mortgage mess and the economy going crazy. Actually it was about 2 years before that, but Michigan’s economy has been bad since then, it didn’t start with the housing market like the rest of the country did.

Anyway she just called to see about refinancing the house to put on a new roof, because it needs it. They won’t do it because that house is not worth it. It sucks, because she may have to unload it at a very cheep price now. Hopefully she can do something about it and not worry anymore. There are so many other problems we are having right now and this is something that she shouldn’t have to worry about.
