I Am Still Worn Out

I have always wanted to have kids. I love them and I’m the second oldest of five and took care of my little brothers and sister a lot. So I figure I’m good to go. Well now that my nephew is one and a half and my one niece is 6 months I now remember how crazy life was with my 2 little sisters. I babysat yesterday and I’m still worn out. Part of that may be because of new meds I’m on too, but I know most of it is from the very energetic little boy I had yesterday.

Babies are not just about clothes, diapers and fun cute times.  You have to have energy to chase after them, climb over furniture and hold them when they are grouchy and don’t want to be put down. I find myself wondering what young person would want to get into all of that. Then I think well I guess they would have more energy and be able to keep up. I still think though that most young pregnant women don’t have any idea as to what they are getting into.

Floods Caused by Global Warming

I had a feeling that global warming was causing all of this crazy weather. It makes sense and hopefully now that even the white house has shown that human involvement in global warming is real that we as a nation Floodingand the world will start trying to find ways to live cleaner and better.

Yes I am big on the whole going green thing. How much does it really hurt you to switch to more energy efficient items. The cost might be a little more for the item, but trust me they usually pay for themselves. I guess many people look at it this way, where will I be in 50 years when all of this is going to really start effecting the way we live, well the baby boomer’s will probably not be here anymore which is why I believe one man said we have enough oil to get though 50 years lets drill and use it. Thats nice, but what about after that 50 years. That man doesn’t care because he will not be alive to see it and apparently doesn’t care about his children or grandchildren.

His way of thinking really would not be a big deal if his habits didn’t effect everyone else. It’s people who only think of themselves that have caused many of these problems. Hopefully we can fix it before it’s too late.

Green Weddings, a new trend?

I was reading today that more and more people are going green with their weddings. I love this idea and I had planned on doing the same if I ever get married. As I was reading I thought I wonder how you could go green at a wedding. I thought of a few things that I wanted to share with you. If you have any other tips feel free to share them also.

One that is almost a given is to get a horse and carriage for your ride away from the church. Plan the reception at a close location and it should be an easy trip. You can also encourage people to car pool to the wedding.

Use recycled paper for everything, invitations, menus, programs and anything else you use.

Throw bird seed instead of rice.

Have the wedding outside so you can reduce your energy use.

Buy locally grown flowers or pick your own and have a crafty person put them together for you.

buy all organic, the dress, the food and more, but don’t worry about organic if it’s all locally grown and produced. If you can get both go for it.

Have the reception outside and light it with LED lights.

Give out LED or Florescent lights as wedding favors along with a list of things people can do to help save the environment.

Thats my list what can you think of?

One thing that I have always wanted to put into a home I will eventually own is a tankless water heater. There are many good reasons to use one, they heat water fast so you don’t have to wait for it. Also you never run out of hot water. It’s also nice because a tankless water heater can save you cash too. The energy used to run a tankless heater is much less then is used to run a regular water heater. Instead of energy used to heat gallons of water several times a day you only need to heat what you are going to use that minute.

This helps not only you get ready for your day quicker, but lowers the emissions from our energy use. It also will help lower your electric or heating bill depending on what type of energy you use to heat your water. Example, my mom has propane, she has no choice unless she switches to electric. So if she installed a tankless heater she could save hundreds of dollars off her propane bill. Now thats a nice idea.

Summer! Okay maybe not yet

According to the weather thing on my computer it is 73 outside, this is wonderful and I love it! I grilled some turkey I went to the store and got today for lunch and it was so yummy. I love warm weather as I get energy to get things done and actually feel good for once.

The downside was I got so much done this morning that I was just not in the mood to do anything this afternoon. So I sat and watched TV. I ended up switching between a celebrate weight loss thing on E! and The Universe on the history channel. So at least I learned something and was entertained all at the same time.

I really do love days like this, don’t you?

Are you looking for cheap electricity? I know I am always looking for ways to save money, but did you know that you may also be able to make money from energy use. It’s really simple. You sign up with the Ignite program where you and others can get cheep electricity.

How does it work well the parent company of Ignite, Stream Energy finds the best rates for your energy needs by getting their energy from different sources. The energy is also regulated by the Public Utility Commission, so you know you will get the energy you pay for. Stream Energy will then pass the savings on to you and anyone you sign up. You get paid for everyone you sign up also, Ignite will send you a check when you sign up the first 4 people, the best part is you can use yourself, and you can substitute your Ignite homepage as 2 referrals. That means you only have to come up with one referral. You also can sponsor people who will also make money from this program.

The best part about this is that energy prices are rising so many people are trying to save as much money on energy as they can. This is a great time to jump on a program like this as you really could make a great profit. A great deal for everyone I think.

Restful Sleep?

Don’t you hate it when you go to bed and wake up with all of this energy only to find the minute you move you hurt. I did that this morning and I was very annoyed. Since I’ve been so stressed out I decided last night to go to bed early and see if some extra sleep would help. It did except now I’m sore as I must have slept funny. Now I’m sitting here in my pj’s with some muscle rub on my shoulders and back hoping that the pain will go away before I have to take my mom to her appointment.

That is hopefully the good part of the day. She is suppose to get her cast off today. She’s excited as she’s tired of it and wants it off. I guess we will just have to wait and hope they do take it off.
