It seems that it’s that time of year again, the time of year where we see gas prices starting to go crazy and we think “why do we have to deal with this?” The good news is that we do not have to deal with this, remember there are things you can do to keep gas prices down. The end result of these things results in less oil bought and used, that brings down the price of fuel.

What can you do?

Buy less gas. yes I know your thinking duh, but really you need to make a plan to buy less gas. Start by figureing out ways to take less trips with your car. Stop at the store on the way home from work or school. Carpool if you can and encourage others to do the same.

Stop using disposable water bottles. They take oil to make and it also takes a lot of oil to ship those things. Buy a filter or a water bottle that filters and use that.

If you have the money to get a better car do it, buy a fuel efficient car if you travel a lot or have a long commute. I did and if I can you can do it too.

Grow a garden, this helps keep gas prices down by reducing your trips to the store, fresh produce in your own back yard is better then running to the store to buy it all of the time.
