Being a broke collage student I am always looking for ways to make some extra cash. I do work online and have thought about starting my own business up soon. I also have noticed a service that is becoming very popular right now, a service where you can Trade your Gold for fast cash. I love the sound of that and I think I may have something that is actually gold, but I don’t want to part with it just yet. I had a few gold things once I could have sold, but someone stole them from me. Yes that’s my luck. I found a great site, Gold and Stone Exchange that will send you an exchange kit so that you can send in your gold. It’s an easy form to fill out and it’s free.

I just think of what I could have paid off if I had the jewelry that was taken from me. One bracelet was worth $500 when I had it appraised 6 years ago. I’m sure with the price of gold it would be worth more now. I could pay off a good chunk of my debt with that alone. It would be nice to have one or two less bills to worry about. Since I don’t have it anymore all I can do is dream about a life with one less bill. Sad I know.

I think this is interesting. I’m a plus size gal and I find it very hard to get necklaces that fit me. Usually they are too small and look more like a choker then a necklace. I have these beautiful gold chains that I can’t wear because they don’t fit. The strange part about this. I got the necklaces at a plus size store.

I don’t get where jewelry manufactures think that everyones neck is the same size. Mine has always been bigger. I’m told when I lose weight it will shrink but I don’t think it’s going to get a lot smaller. Yes I did buy extenders for my necklaces, but being I bought them in a plus size only store, I shouldn’t have to buy extenders.

What do you think?

I talked the other day with my friends grandfather. He’s I nice man who I have known since I was 12 and he is always trying to give me financial advice. This time he told me that I need to invest in gold. According to him the price of gold has gone up dramatically.

He means well, so I checked it out this morning, in between the annoying calls from the harassing telemarketer. Of course I don’t have money to buy anything, but it still was of interest to me. Gold has been traded by so many cultures throughout history that it has to be a good way to invest.

Gold barsLast year we had an exchange student from Germany who collected the US coins. That got me thinking that maybe that would be a good way to go. I could buy these coins they put out and eventually they may be worth something. I’m thinking buy one for each of my children as they are born and they can have it when I pass to do what they would like with it. I may give it to them sooner though. Of course I would also buy some for me. I wouldn’t stick with just gold coins either, silver is a huge deal right now and is hard to find. This could happen again in the future and I hope to be ready for it.
