Okay it’s not official for another month, but the way the wind is howling at my window tells me that winter has hit here in Michigan and it won’t be going away any time soon. I’m actually kind of happy about it. I love the snow and sitting inside watching the snow fall, but I don’t like the cold, so I’m kinda hoping that by February it starts to warm up really well and we can get back to some nice days.

I have made the most of the last few days since it has been cold and rainy here. I started reading the Twilight series and I have to say I like it, but for me it’s not as good and addicting as other books I have read. I do see where people would be crazy over it, but for me it’s not like Harry Potter, or some other big books I have read. I do plan on finishing the series soon, my friend is loaning them to me so that I can read them.  I should have the last two done by the end of next week as I have papers to write at the begaining of the week. Really it takes me about 5 hours or so to read though these books. Yes I read fast.

Winter for me is a time to relax and enjoy things indoors, like reading or writing. I’m really looking forward to the month I have off so that I can keep reading more. I love books and have missed reading entertaining books, text books are just not the same.

I was just told by my little brothers friend that apparently the communist are upset with the new Indiana Jones movie. I haven’t seen it yet but I do understand they would not be happy with it. My little brother said something that was a little amusing. He said “Great now we will have another cold war.” He was joking and I don’t think it would. I mean look at all of the religious problems with movies, Harry Potter, The Da Vinci Code and The Golden Compass. All of these movies upset people somewhere, no wars were fought over it.

I think people need to realize that movies are just that, movies. Parents need to let there kids know that it’s not real unless it’s based on a true story, even then most of the time it’s still not accurate. Movies are mostly for entertainment, I think we all need to remember that.
