I was watching a biography on Angelina Jolie today and one thing that they talked about was how hard it was for her to play some of her roles. In order to do rolls well an actor literally has to become the person they are playing. We learned the effects of this earlier this year with Heath Ledger. He was on sleeping pills because the rolls he had played recently were just too much. I know I would never be able to do that and that is the reason I will never be an actress, even though people have told me I should be.

I love how we always hear that the lives they lead are amazing and wonderful, but what they have to put themselves though for a part is crazy, sometimes they have to lose or gain weight quickly or go insane for a while. I think we who watch these celebrates forget that they are normal everyday people who have an extremely hard job to do and have to look good and be perfect all the time. I wouldn’t want that job for the world. I love my privacy. I have a very deep respect for anyone who is in show business and can deal with all they have to.

I finally got to go see Batman:The Dark Knight last night, we ended up running late and had to go to the next showing, but it was worth the wait. It was a great movie that really did keep you wondering what was going to happen next. I’m not going to spoil anything if you haven’t seen it yet so don’t worry you can keep reading.

The big story of this movie is of course Heath Ledgers role as the Joker. Many people didn’t think it would live up to all of the buzz surrounding it. Well I’m happy to say it did and if he doesn’t get nominated for an Heath Ledger, Jokeraward or 5 this upcoming season, I will not be watching award shows ever again. This roll showed that this man had talent well beyond what anyone had seen him do before. For most of the movie your hair on your arms was standing up because of how completely psycho and unpredictable this character was. Not only that, but he also managed to play the part with enough similarities to Jack Nicholson’s Joker that the character was believable as a younger version of the Joker.  It’s very sad that he is no longer around to reprise this role in any upcoming films they will have a very hard time finding anyone who could fill it if they decide to bring him back.

Over all still a great movie full of suspense and of course the always sexy Christan Bale. All of the actors and actresses did a wonderful job and made this a movie you could go see again and again and never get bored.

The last week has been a sad week for those in Hollywood. 2 young actors died both were very talented and promising. Today I was shocked to hear that Heath Ledger had passed. I have loved the majority of his movies and was looking forward to seeing him in the new batman movie.

It seems that young actors and actresses are having so many problems. I think much of it is probably stress, I know I could never do what they do, one I don’t have the talent and two I would not be able to deal with the media like that.

My prayers go out to his family and everyone who knew him, hopefully they will have answers soon as to why this happened and maybe they will be able to deal with the horrible reality of loosing a loved one.
