I am sure Brarack Obama will not forget what he stands for if he makes it to the white house, end the war and get back to where we should be. One reason he will not forget it is because of the bracelet he wears. It was given to him by a mother of a solder in Iraq, she wanted him to remember her son when he was president. Remember what he fought for and the life that was taken. McCain also wears one to remind himself of the soldiers in Iraq.

Memorial Bracelets are a great way to show that you respect the past and hope for the future. There are many types of memorial bracelets there are some for 9-11, some for Vietnam and the gulf war. I think that these bracelets are a wonderful way to show that you are thinking about what goes on in the world around you and what happens to those that fight for what we as a nation stand for. I may be against the war, but I still respect what these guys are doing every day.

I have to say I am very impressed and after listening to him am am very sure I will be voting for him. I think he will be about change, and as he put it we don’t need to take a 10% chance for change. I was not able to vote 8 years ago I was 17 when voting took place, but 18 when Bush took office. I wish I could have had a voice, because I would have voted against him and I would have felt like I tried. Instead I am one of those who has struggled since I graduated to find work, pay for school and food and try to make a life for myself.

Obama’s plans for this country is what needs to happen, we need to take care of ourselves not try to pay for everyone else when we have homeless people and children that can not eat. I am tired of watching people with money get everything and complain when they can’t have that second or third home. That needs to stop and if your one of those people, think about how the economy is for you, now think about what it would be like to wonder if you’ll have food tomorrow? I’m sure you don’t worry about this.

I think though the best part of the speech was that Obama believes in family and parents being able to be parents, not working all the time to make ends meet, not worrying about money or how they are going to get their kids to and from school. We need to make a change, and we need to now or we are just going to keep going downward and things will just get worse.

He also stated that you don’t defeat terrorist by being in Iraq. he’s right terrorism is everywhere, you defeat it by sending the message that you are willing to look past differences, not enforce your believes onto others. Working with others is the answer, not going in with power and weapons and making people do as you want them too.

We as a country need to think, what about me? what about my children what about our lives, our homes, our issues? Why can’t we spend Billions on our schools and our health instead of on war and other countries that just use us so that they don’t have to spend anything?

The United States is on at a canyon, do we step forward and build a bridge across or do we sit down and let things stay as they are?

I want to know why, not because I’m an Obama supporter, but because many of the people who have been saying this have been demicrats for years. Why give up your values just because it’s not a women up there. Now if you have switched because you actually agree with McCain more then okay that I understand, but I have talked to people who agree with everything that Obama says, but won’t vote for him because he’s not a women and didn’t choose a women for vp.

I just don’t think that some of these people realize that if the vote McCain in they will have to deal with what he belives in and what he want’s to do. The war will continue, US taxpayer money will continue to go to Iraq and nothing will change, if thats what they want, fine, but if they want an end to the war they need to grow up and do what is right, not act like a highschool kid and try to get back at Obama for winning the nomination.

This is the reasion that many young voters don’t vote, they figure voteing is a big scam because people just vote the party and don’t listen to the issues, they vote for the cute one or the person who looks better then the other. In this race I am sure that many will not vote for Obama because of race. It’s sad this is still going on, but it’s a truth that even he knows. I just think that if you are old enough to vote you need to vote because you agree with what the canidate has to say, not because your pissed off that they were nominated instead of someone else.
