I love looking at watches, I don’t know why I just do. It doesn’t matter what kind of watch Tag Heuer watches or the cheap watches from walmart. I don’t know why I have this strange obsession with them but I do. I seem to find a watch to match every outfit I own and then some. I also find watches for other people and have to keep myself from buying one.

I think this goes back to my father who always carried a pocket watch. I loved looking at it and checking out each new one he bought. Now that he is gone I think that is a way I can still connect with him. That and I have a huge love of shiny things that I just can not get away from. I don’t have a huge preferance when it comes to shiny things, jewelry, glass and other shiny objects always seem to catch my eye but it seems like a watch I am drawn to like most women are drawn to diamonds. It’s kind of weird I think. I mean here I am at 10 o’clock at night talking about Tag Heuer watches and my love of shiny things when I should be getting to bed as I think I’m coming down with a cold.

I’m starting to wonder if anyone wears a watch anymore. Today in the store we kept having people ask me what time it is. I wear a watch but it seems I’m one of a few. The surprising thing is that some of them were older people. I’ve noticed this issue in other places. School being one where the student relied on the bell tower to tell them if they were late for class. I know most students are horrible with time anyway, but a few learned their lesson when the bell tower stopped working one day. I found it funny, others did not. That could be because it was during exam week.

It’s not hard to get a watch I have seen some great jewelry watches that are not that expensive some websites will even give you a free watch with any purchase. I also have found some nice TAG Heuer watches that cost more but look good. I think though that many people use their cell phones or rely on everyone else to tell time. Maybe it’s just me, but if I see a person wearing a watch I think that is someone who cares about where they are going and when they get there.

I love clothes and soon I know I’ll be able to fit into clothes that I couldn’t before like the Baby Phat Clothing line. I love the look of it, but I probably can’t get away with wearing some of it anymore, I’m still going to buy something once I lose the weight, even if it’s just to wear around the house. Of course I think I could get away with the sporty line they have. I can wear it to the gym.

Right now I just have to content myself with their jewelry and other items that big gals like me can wear. My little sister can fit into their clothes though and she loves them too. I think they have a great brand. Anyway I am really hoping to lose weight so I can not only fit into baby phat clothes, but some of the other name brands as well. Of course I probably will just end up shopping at walmart because I’m a poor collage student. At least until I find a real job.

With Valentines day coming up I know alot of men who are trying to figure out what to get for their girlfriends or wifes. It’s hard sometimes because maybe you have already bought her a gold necklace and chocolate, or you got her that ring she wanted. So now what?

I have been looking through ad’s at really nice jewelry. I have always wanted a nice necklace. This past Christmas I got my self a nice silver heart necklace that I have wanted since I was 16. Of course back then I was hoping to get it from a boyfriend. Now I know better. That will never happen. So I bought it for myself.

I hate valentines day, mostly because I’m always single. That happens when you have never had a boyfriend. This year though I thought if I can find as good of a deal as I found on that heart necklace maybe I’ll get one of those  diamond pendants to add to my collection.

The good news is I only would have to buy the pendent, not the chain. I finally found a chain that will fit me so I can interchange the pendents, as long as there not gold. Of course if I find a good deal on one with a chain I’ll probably buy it anyway.

This of course is the upside and the downside of being single, you get what you want, but it’s not as special as it would be if someone gave it to you.
