I have been watching the Izea Fest feed all day and I have to say I have learned a few things that I will be putting into practice not only on this blog and my other blogs, but in my life also. One thing that the panelist have said is to get yourself out there and brand your name. For me that works well as not only am I trying to make a name online, but I’m trying to make a name in the real world for when I graduate from college and am ready to work.

Social sites are a big thing and I hate to say I have not been very active on them because of personal family reasions and the fact that I feel no one cares what I have to say. This seems to steam from the “friends” I had as a teen who didn’t care, but it’s time to get over that and move on. Beliveing that what I have to say matters is a big key to success anywhere. I don’t want to be famous, but I would love to be respected in any feild I go into.

Overall I hope to be more active and out there with social stuff, but as always I will have to see what happends with school. Of course now that I have my laptop I can get a ton more done during breaks, so it may work out okay.

I have been trying my hand at affiliate marketing for a while now and it seems that no one is really willing to help anyone out. It happens sometimes, but I think most people don’t want to share anything because they don’t want to lose money. Now I found a network that is a little different, a network Made For Affiliates, By Affiliates, Pepperjam Network and I have to say I love what they have to offer.

The advertisers they have I have not seen anywhere else and they really do help you out when your just getting started. There blog is very informative and keeps you up to date as to what is going on with the company and the advertisers. They even have a great resource page that will help you get the word out about the product you want to advertise. If your not sure how to get started they also provide links to sites that will help you. I have spent the last few days looking over these sites and they are very helpful. Overall I really think pepperjam has the potential to be a big time affiliate network and one that really cares about what they offer and their affiliates.

I love seeing good advertising on websites, it makes me think that they actually care what is on their page and how they are represented. I know for a fact it can be hard to get good advertisers to actually pay to be on your site directly and that is why I useĀ affiliate management services to do this. The best part about affiliate networks is that it is easy to get good well known products, services and websites on your site. Of course then the hard part of getting people to buy things though those site begins but thats for another post.

I have found for me that my affiliate networks work the best on my design blog. I don’t make much off of it, but I do get many clicks and interested people. I know right now many people just don’t have the money for the extras, but knowing that they are still interested in them is a good thing for future references. Overall I like affiliate marketing. It adds to the look and feel of my blogs and I hope makes my blogs look more professional.
