Wednesday, Michigan’s Governor may decided that Detroit’s Mayor will have to go. Personally I think he has really ruined the image of the city and needs to be removed. The reason I believe that is not because he was being investigated for what he stated in a trial, but because he was not responsible enough to inform the court when he was leaving the country twice. If i lived in Detroit I would want him removed just because I wouldn’t be able to trust him. I would wonder what else did he forget or what was he really doing in Canada?

A Mayor or other government official is a role model for many children, they need to remember that and act accordingly. So many adults seem to forget that they are watched by children. Anyway as of right now the mayor is trying to put a stop to the governor kicking him out of office that hearing will be held Tuesday. Hopefully this judge is thinking clearly and realizes that people just can not trust this man anymore.

My mother rents a home. She loves doing it and I love that she has been able to make it succeed. It was out of necessity as she had a new home built just before all of this mortgage mess and the economy going crazy. Actually it was about 2 years before that, but Michigan’s economy has been bad since then, it didn’t start with the housing market like the rest of the country did.

Anyway she just called to see about refinancing the house to put on a new roof, because it needs it. They won’t do it because that house is not worth it. It sucks, because she may have to unload it at a very cheep price now. Hopefully she can do something about it and not worry anymore. There are so many other problems we are having right now and this is something that she shouldn’t have to worry about.

There is a huge reason I complain about not finding a job. I live in Michigan. Where the unemployment rate is now over 8% well above the national average of about 5%. If you don’t believe me read about the problems. Yahoo has a great article about the economic problems here. If you don’t feel something you are heartless.

Many of these people will never see the jobs they once had come back, auto companies are gone forever no matter what some people here say. It just cost too much to pay people here. Unions have killed the auto industry.

The story talks about people my age trying to find work. One homeless who is worried he won’t get a job because he doesn’t have a phone number, just email. I’m assuming he checks it at a local library or at school. Yes he is homeless and a student. One man won’t even put his degree on his resume because he’s afraid of being told what I have been, your overqualified.

I have heard people in other states claim that they have it the hardest with gas prices and the housing market, but they are working and the jobs in their areas are either stable or growing some. How do they have it hard when we have nothing, are losing our jobs and no hope of anything for a while. Our Governor is working hard to get industry here in Michigan, but it’s not easy, even then they will not employ as many people as the auto industry and it will take years to catch on.

So next time your looking at high gas prices and heading to your job, think about the people who are having to pay these high gas prices just to find a job, many who unfortunately won’t be finding anything for a long time. They are the ones hurting the most.

Yesterday I was talking to a friend of mine about her new car she is getting. He old one broke down and will cost at least $5000 to fix. So she decided to just get a new, more eco friendly car. She was also looking to switch insurance companies and had been getting an auto insurance quote from a local insurance dealer. She told me later on that I was lucky I didn’t have to pay for insurance since I owned my car. I laughed and informed her that here in Michigan I have to have insurance and it’s cost me about $122 a month.

The bad part about all of this is that her full coverage was only about $40 more then my PLPD. The reason being is that they have to keep the rates low in other states that don’t require insurance. It sucks for us because that $122 a month could really help me pay some other bills.

I was reading last night how women are writing into the democratic committee saying that both Michigan and Florida should be seated and Clinton should get all of the votes. I disagree with this as in Michigan we only had one democratic choice and many people including myself did not vote because of that fact alone. We felt we had no actual choice.

What I am wondering with all of this is do the women who are so supportive of Hillary know what she actually wants to do as president or have they just decided she’s female and I love her! Keep in mind there is nothing wrong with your choice I’m just wondering. This thought came into my head last night when I read this article because a women stated that she would rather support McCain then Obama. The thing is when you look at both Democratic candidates they really do have most of the same goals. Trust me I have done a lot of research into this, both before January, when I still wasn’t sure who to vote for, and when they talked about having a re vote. I judge based on what they want to do and how the candidate presents themselves. I just feel that Hillary has kind of cracked under pressure and because of that resulted to tactics that just did not make me feel she would make a good president. Just my opinion.

I’m watching the NASCAR race, and Brian Vickers was leading and I was happy and then he crashed hard. It sucks! Why couldn’t it be Stewart or Bush! (Kyle). Okay I’m done now, but I’m still not happy. I was all thinking maybe since I haven’t seen a race in 3 weeks he may actually win one. No, grr. Okay I lied I wasn’t done yet, now I am.

Anyway, this just means he will have to win in Michigan this June. That would be cool, cause the first race I ever went to he crashed really early in the race. It was sad, I still had a good time, but it would have been fun to have someone to cheer for. I’ve learned my lesson since then, I now have 3 drivers I like so it should be okay.

Anyway I’m back to the TV. :)

As many of you know I am a huge NASCAR fan. I’m going to the race in Michigan and actually have some really great seats on the start finish line. Yes I’m excited! This was something that a friend of mine was able to get so I don’t know if we can get it again. That is where sites like seat exchange come in handy. These sites allow you to buy and sell tickets to events. You can sell concert tickets without worrying about standing outside the show to do it.

Last year we really could have used this service as my sister bought a bunch of NASCAR tickets and no one was able to go. She couldn’t even go as they made her work that day. If I had known about this site then she could have sold her NASCAR sports tickets and gotten some if not most of her money back.

As for the site set up itself. It’s really easy to use and has a great look to it. You can decide what type of event you want to go to and narrow it down from there. They only take credit cards so no pay pal guys. It’s okay thats why you get the pay pal debit card right! I don’t know if I would use them to buy my NASCAR tickets as long as my friend can get us them, but there are a few concerts I would think about buying tickets for.
