Mom’s and how they can be

I love my mother, she hasn’t always been the best mom but she isn’t horrible either. There have been many things we have disagreed on over the years and we are not as close as most of my friends are with their moms. I think that is because many of my friends mothers were younger when they had kids, my mom was 30 and raised by very strict parents.
Still though with mothers day approaching I am looking for the perfect mothers day gifts. It always seems like me and my older sister come up with a great idea and then my little sisters come up with their own and then the two of us are back to square one. So I’m thinking this year we figure out a few different things we can do to make mothers day a fun one this year. One thing that is out once again this year is a mothers ring. We have been wanting to get one for years now, but no one has ever had enough to get one. 5 kids means a lot of money. Hopefully after I graduate next June and get a good job we can put that back on our list. For now I’m on the hunt for some other great ideas.

Mothers Day Fun and Ideas

Usually we don’t make a huge fuss over mother’s day. My mom’s birthday is in April and we usually do something then, but in May the last 2 years my little sisters have had things going on as they were getting ready to graduate from high school. This year no one is doing anything so we figure it would be a good year to do something for mom.
Unfortunately because of my older sisters work schedule we will have to plan it before mothers day, but thats okay. We have some ideas in our head about what to do. My little brother said buy her flowers, my sisters say a gift card. I know right now 1800 flowers is doing a special thing for moms, Celebrate Mom For Who She Is Contest. It sounds interesting and I like the idea of winning over $30,000 in stuff, but for me mom mom really doesn’t fall into one of those categories. They need an other category!
I really have no idea what we may end up doing, but I think taking her out for dinner would be fun. On the other hand doing that for her birthday may be more fun, and doing a family grilling or something would be good for mothers day as we have a large family and it would cost a good amount to go out and eat. Who knows my little sisters tend to come up with their own thing when we try to plan anything so it may just be a wait and see.
