I knew a few months ago that tomorrow would be a good valentines day for me and I have to send thanks to the people at NASCAR. Yes, the first race is tomorrow, on valentines day and I’m loving it! I have something to do and it’s fun. Of course this year I do have a guy to spend it with, we are not serious enough yet for me to push for anything on valentines day, but being able to spend it together will be a nice and very welcome change. It won’t be romantic by any means as there will be screaming children and drunks in the background, but that’s okay. I really don’t ask for much as I’m happy with what I can get.

I know I haven’t written much about Nascar this year, but there has just been so much going on the last 2-3 months that I have been scatterbrained. Though I would love to be cheering for Vickers to win the cup I know that won’t be happening. I can still hope he may win the race and cheer for Jimmy at the same time!

I’m going to once again be at my sisters for the race and I’m excited to go. It’s fun and usually we have a few laughs. Do you watch nascar if so what do you do for the last race?

I love nascar, but my sister and her friend love it so much more. One of her favorite drivers is Dale Jr. She has liked him for a long time and I think I found the perfect gift for my sister to get her, it’s a Centon 4GB USB Drive and it’s shaped like Jr’s car. It’s really a cool looking thing and since my sister won’t be seeing this friend until New Years eve she can still order it and have it to give to her.

I’m really happy I found this tonight as we spent all day going from sale to sale trying to find something for this person and a few others, we did well with the others and I’m happy to say my christmas shopping is complete except for a few lottery tickets I’m buying. Unfortunately we didn’t find anything for my sisters friend. I know she’s thinking about going back to school so a USB drive would be something she can use. Now if only I could find a Brian Vickers one I would be very happy. I’m guessing though that they don’t make one for him as he’s not a big deal driver like the rest of these guys. I do wonder if they make a Kasy one though, my sister would love it for her birthday.

I am tired and worn out and very happy that we decided not to spend today at the race track. I needed time to relax and sleep. I had fun though, even though I did thing about checking out computer rentals and getting a laptop for the weekend so that I could check weather. I still think I should have we ended up getting soaked waiting in line for garage tickets.

Yes the truck garage was awesome and my niece loved it. There are pictures but I didn’t have a camera so I will have to wait until a friend gets them uploaded and to me. It was a fun day and I am looking forward to the Cup race tomorrow.

I’m getting ready for bed and hoping to get some sleep as I have to be up at one in the morning because my sister is crazy and wants to be at the nascar track at 4am. The reason being they are giving away Truck garage passes for the first 500 people to show up. I’m thinking even at 4am there is going to be a line up as there are many campgrounds for the track.

So really I may be getting up at 1 am for nothing really. Sunday I believe we are leaving then too. That I get though. I’m not really that excited about the garage area as my niece is coming with us and I will probably be the one watching her and making sure she doesn’t run off.

I’m a huge NASCAR fan, but even I think this is just a little crazy. Don’t get excited I’m actually on the side of the person suing NASCAR, if all of this can be proven. According to the article I read the women, Mauricia Grant is suing NASCAR for racial and sexual discrimination. She was an official who worked hard but was treated unfairly. Apparently men exposed themselves to her, called her and other women workers lesbians because they didn’t sleep with them or at least flirt back. She was also fired eventually because of her complaining and so was another women. A few officials were named were Balash, assistant series director Mike Dolan, supervisors Alan Shephard and Dennis Dillon.

I don’t find this completely surprising as if you look at NASCAR’s roots, it’s southern. Now I’m not saying that all southern people are like this, but when I lived in Texas I did notice a huge increase in the amount of people that are vocal about their dislike of other races and even the north. I can’t tell you how many times I was told I was a stupid Yankee by one man where I lived.

I hope that the top guys at NASCAR can do something and will do something about this if these allegations are true. That needs to be proven first and it sounds very possible. I guess it will be something to watch out for and see what happens.

I’m watching the NASCAR race, and Brian Vickers was leading and I was happy and then he crashed hard. It sucks! Why couldn’t it be Stewart or Bush! (Kyle). Okay I’m done now, but I’m still not happy. I was all thinking maybe since I haven’t seen a race in 3 weeks he may actually win one. No, grr. Okay I lied I wasn’t done yet, now I am.

Anyway, this just means he will have to win in Michigan this June. That would be cool, cause the first race I ever went to he crashed really early in the race. It was sad, I still had a good time, but it would have been fun to have someone to cheer for. I’ve learned my lesson since then, I now have 3 drivers I like so it should be okay.

Anyway I’m back to the TV.
